DONTWASTEYOURTIMEANDMONEYUSINGTHISCOMPANY! On 12−15−14 our furnace went out. This is the first time we have ever had this issue so we called Ronk Bros. to see if they could fix it. On 12−17−14 they had their technician, Jeff, come out. He hooked up his machine and after 30 minutes told us the problem was the circuitboard. We were surprised as we had done some research and thought it might be the gas valve. We were planning on them fixing the issue until we were told the price of the part was over $ 200. We ended up doing the work ourselves with a new part we found online for $ 60. Once we had the part, we installed it according to how the old one was. Pretty simple too. After we turned it on we had the EXACT same problem! Finally ordered a new gas valve for $ 170 thinking that must be the issue. Today on 1−5−15 we installed the new gas valve and the furnace started right up perfectly! I called Ronk Bros to see if they would honor their limited 30 day warranty which covers all labor. Being that our bill showed $ 50 for labor I was sure this was a no brainer. I spoke with one of the owners, Paul. He reasoned that because we didn’t use them to purchase the part and install it we were out of luck. Apparently this $ 50 charge was going to break the bank for his company. All this terrible service did was lose a future customer. Ill be using one of their competitors in the future when I upgrade my furnace.
