BEST WESTERN PLUS Providence-Seekonk Inn

Worst breakfast ever! We stayed here recently for a business trip which required us to work nights, when checking into the hotel at midnight. No one there… we had to call twice before someone finally came. The room wasn’t very clean, dirt on the carpet and someone’s pubic hairs in the bathtub. That is a huge pet peeve of my wife. The shower gets so hot, I burnt my foot when testing the water. Towels are worn and shampoo comes in pump station mounted in shower. Soda vending machines are sold out of half the options. Do they never restock this?! Our 2^nd night was interrupted by an extremely loud fire alarm at 4:00 AM!, and we had to evacuate the building while fire trucks were called. 45 mins later, we went back in, someone tampering with the smoke alarm??? Since we were working nights, we placed a DO NOT DISTURB sign on our door because we needed to sleep in. The maid does not care about this sign. She will knock and open the door anyway. And when the slide bolt stops the door at opening only 4 inches, she will try it a couple more times. For someone that is working nights and is deep in sleep, this will really piss you off. No tip earned here. The breakfast was confusing on how it could be that bad. It was 6:40 am and started at 6:30, so I would think it would be fresh… The hash browns smelled terrible, like chemicals, inedible. Corn beef hash was gross, chalky powdered eggs, inedible. The sausage was dry and dark, like it was reheated from a previous breakfast and nuked to death in a microwave… Inedible! At least they had Activia to balance out stomach issues. I will never stay here again, and wish they would tighten up ship. This is confusing because we had stayed previously at a Best Western that was nice in Wilkes Barre PA and was night and day compared to this place.
