Seems like an OK place for boat repairs. We stopped in looking for other boat items, but the staff was helpful and seemed knowledgeable. I guess your money can vary like most things, they do not seem like scammers, as 1 review stated, but each person has a different experience. I am unable to say how well they fix boats as that was not my reason to go there.

first of all I would like to say I I do not like to give a negative review I do not review often. That being said I have had several dealings with Powersports. The last time I brought my boat in there it had a bad motor I knew this and wanted them to give me a price on rebuilding it. They looked at it and charge me for doing so and wanted to put a new motor and a new out drive I took it to somewhere else had a new motor put in for a third of what they were going to charge. I asked them if they would replace the water pump in the out drive. they refused to do the work telling me that I needed to have them replace the motor first. Recently my mechanic who replaced my motor hurt his back and could not finish some of the wiring. I made the grave mistake of letting powersports know my situation. First I called them the day after I drop the boat off to let them know of some of the problems I had found with it they told me they were pulling the boat in to shop as we were speaking. About an hour later I called back they told me they had 5 hours into it. They asked me how far I wanted to go. I knew they were scamming me I went down there they gave me all kinds of ridiculous statements justifying their charges like they had to charge the batteries. I had charged the batteries before I drop the boat off. I paid them almost $ 700 they charge me just to look at it. They told me that they got it running when I got the boat home it would not start I called them back they told me that they did not use the keys that I gave them that they jumped it in the rear of the motor. When I expressed my dissatisfaction. there entire staff badgered me they’re mechanic told me I wasn’t listening to him when the manager told the mechanic to go back in the shop because I had put my credit card down and said just get me out of here the mechanic said no I don’t have to go back in the shop. I have another shop looking at it. they have looked over the repair order from powersports and had a good laugh. I tried to come to some kind of reconciliation with the owner Bruce however he is very deceptive and dishonest. I would not trust this shop to change my oil. I have spoken to friends who have gone through the sales side of their dealership you will find them to be way overpriced. This is a deceptive shop that hides behind a website where customers cannot post. don’t bring a boat in there that’s old and needs a good mechanic this guy does not want to do anything for you just take your money. They lied on the repair order did not do the work they stated. Very unprofessional staff and ownership. Absolutely would never recommend them.

Power Source was recommended to us by many people in the boating and fishing industries. This place is very fair with their prices. They are also very knowledgeable about boats, Mercury outboards, etc. We’ll continue to go here because they are great at what they do and offer great prices. They give helpful advice and ensure the job is done right.
