Son’s Island At Lake Placid

This was a great time with the family. There are tons of activities – pedal boat, paddle boards, kayaking, horseshoes, washers and volleyball are all right there. The cabanas have everything including electric and water, a ceiling fan, and your own dock on the water for setting off into the river.
There is a water slide for the kids, right next to a rope swing, with a dock there for parents watching youngsters.
The grounds are really pretty and tropical. Swinging in the hammock watching the water go by on a nice afternoon was a really nice way to spend part of the day.
Staff was really helpful and accommodating. We were there midweek, and had a really wonderful time. On weekends I was told they’re normally fully booked, so if you want to go, plan ahead!

Open in 2015. First time here and this place is amazing. Lots to do with the family! Can’t spend a night but the view is gorgeous
