Not impressed. We used to come here every time we stopped in Seguin, but this last time, it really disappointed me. First of all, they seemed to be out of red candy apples most of the time. Out of all the times I’ve come here, I’ve only been able to get a red candy apple maybe 3 – 5 times. So when I see them, I stock up. I seem to always have to settle for a caramel apple. I’m not very happy about that because they are green apples and I prefer red apples. They have other candy apples, dipped in chocolate, white chocolate or some other type of dip, covered in nuts or pecans. But those overwhelm instead of compliment the apple. When I’ve inquired about not having red apples in stock, they say«we are making them right now, sorry about that.» Shouldn’t they be making them as often as they making everything else? About half the times I’ve come in, all the shelves are close to empty and it seems as though what is left is stale. I’ve bought and consumed a few stale items, including a chocolate covered«s’more» treat and a rock hard brownie. My mom loves the chocolate covered bacon and they have superb german chocolate cake. If it weren’t for these two items, and the mysterious Red candy apple, I would only give it 1 star. One last point, the cashier did not accept my business debit MasterCard issued by Paypal because it was not a bank card… I was dumbfounded. I thought it was supposed to be accepted everywhere MasterCard is?

Driving along N Austin st in Seguin, you may have seen this small, extremely bright pink building. What’s in in? Oh, just some of the best looking deserts you have ever gazed upon: cakes, fudge, pralines, canolis, or any thing you may have seen in Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie. They offer roasted corn with all the Mexican toppings(chamoy, Lucas, crema, cheese, lime), shaved ice, homemade ice cream and shakes, and daily specials. The owner, who was the only one there was very friendly and helpful and looks like the epitome of the American dream. This guy isn’t complaining about corporate America not hiring; he is doing what he loves and putting smiles on sweets-craving people of all ages. Seguin Unilocalers, if you crave anything for a snack fix, come see this little pink building and all its delights inside.
