Tattoo Lou’s is a Long Island institution, and I’ve heard plenty of recommendations from friends and colleagues about their favorite locations/​artists but never had a chance to stop by myself. (Though I did have one of their coupons in my dashboard for years).
I needed to get my right nostril re-​pierced. When I was checking things up online, I got the sense that Heidi was the woman to see for piercings, and luckily she was there when I decided to swing by on a whim. It was practically painless compared to my original piercing (done elsewhere), and she recommended shifting the piercing up a little, which looks SO much better.
The environment was relaxed, everything was clean, and the staff friendly. I would definitely go back.

Just went yesterday with my friend to get a lip piercing (friend) and a helix piercing for myself. Place was recently renovated from what I’ve heard. Very small shop with quite a big parking lot, so finding a spot definitely won’t be a problem. The piercer (Christine) was very kind and professional. She made sure we were informed on how to take care of our piercings. Piercing experience was almost painless and she did an excellent job, and gave me what I described to her how I wanted it to look. My friend, although it was painful for her piercing, she said she would definitely come here again for a piercing/​tattoo. I would as well!

A woman named Breezy did my piercing. Just a simple cartilage piercing next to my other one. Looked fine after I got it but, after one month of proper care, it didn’t look good, two months of proper care and it still didn’t look good.
After three months of it looking like it wasn’t going to heal I went to another piercing place and not only did they say that the piercing was on an angle, they said that the earring they used (with the spiral post) damaged my ear and that the piercing was too closely placed to the first one.
Needless to say, one year later and I had to take my piercing out. There is a big cartilage bump that may or may not go down. I am left with countless hours worrying and wasting away taking care of my piercing (let alone the money I spent trying to heal it).
All of this for nothing. I will not go back to this place. I recommend you do your research first because clearly you can’t trust even experts.

My sister and I were both tattooed by Alecia yesterday. After looking through online portfolios of many tattoo artists in the area, we decided to consult with her. After speaking to her face to face we knew she needed to be our artist! Our tattoos came out better than I ever imagined. I couldn’t be happier! I will definitely be going back to Alecia for my next tattoo!

Got recommended by a friend who got her tattoo by Zhang Po (Popo) and told me to go to no other if I wanted something done. It has been years since my last tattoo and wanted a big piece done. My first session here was outstanding, everyone was super friendly and you can tell all the artists here are all like family. Place is always full so if you have an idea, go speak with an artist and make an appointment. My first session came out unbelievable, what a difference when you choose a pro. Mr. Popo took my concept and made it 1000% better than what I could have dreamt up. Can’t wait for my next appointment!

Getting a Tat can truly be a life changing experience, you know these tats become yours through thick and thin and you better be d@mn sure you like it. So I came here with a friend, friendly enough staff in this little stand alone shop. My friend wanted a simple drawing of a catcher (as in baseball) the artist struggled with the tat and the size and it looks to be honest just so so. BUT what mortified me was a 17 yr old coming in with his uncle to get a distorted violent Statue of Liberty holding drug kilos, yes my Unilocal friends I kid you not, what artist in his right mind would dare to put a huge inked mess on a 17 yr old. SO please think long and hard before you allow a so called artist to ink you. GO some place GOOD!
