China Hut Express is what you’d expect from a small, central valley, Chinese restaurant: the usual favorite dishes, cheap deals, and the fact that if you want chopsticks, you’ll have to ask for them. I’ve been coming here for years and am both glad and a little disappointed to say that they have not changed much. Their veggies are always crunchy and flavorful. Their orange chicken (and most everything else) is a little too saucy but at least it has pineapple and vegetables. The rice is okay but I love the noodles. They’ve also recently introduced some new soups that taste yummy.
The best thing I can say about China Hut – and probably the reason I keep coming back – is the excellent customer service. They are always smiling and happy to give you samples if you want to taste something. Once, I asked for eggrolls and they were all out, so the person behind the counter offered to give me extra the next time I came, and he did just that. They’re also always happy to talk to their customers, which is quite refreshing in Selma.
So while they’re employees are as friendly as they have been for the passed couple of years, I’ll keep coming here to eat their pretty alright food.
