Rather disappointing, seriously. This is a cutsie store associated with a high profile, commercial fruit and nut packing operation. Their purpose appears to be drawing in unsuspecting tourists with too much money burning in their pockets. Relatively unimpressed. I guess it would be ok if you are looking for snacks like packaged nuts, dried fruits, candy covered snacks, chocolate pretzels, etc. They did have variety gift packs as well as single packages of each of their products. And there were lots to choose from. Kind of a Harry & David, or Hadley’s kind of thing for Central Valley nuts and snack goodies. But priced too high, IMO. OK. I have to admit, however, that I am munching on some of their lightly salted pistachios and fresh unsalted almonds as I write, and they are sweet as only a fresh nut can be. If you are looking for tree ripened, sweet, edible fruit as we were, keep looking. In the middle of August, one would think there would be plenty here. The store offered a small selection of fruits(peaches, nectarines, plums) that were picked with the intention of shipping, i.e. they were hard as rocks from picking too early, then put in cold storage, resulting in a lack of any fruity fragrance whatsoever. Perhaps really good for target practice, as they will never get any sweeter. The only good thing were the sweet grapes. There are plenty of roadside stands and other fruit farms where you can find the really good, but probably less handsome stuff. Get yourself a copy of the Fresno County Blossom Trail map, or simply drive aimlessly around the many country roads that surround the vast orchards for more than a couple dozen square miles. You will find shacks scattered all over. You will know you have discovered the good stuff… when you give them a sniff. I can give you a tip: I recommend looking up the Friesen Family Farms for one.

Stopped there by chance driving thru. They have some of the best pistachios I’ve ever eaten. And if you love raisin. They are giant and their prices are great. I wish I had bought more. Yum

Fresh summer fruits at really good prices. Dried fruit and nuts for gifts. A big box of peaches or plums all freshly picked.

They have banana chips, but do not grow bananas. They also have really fresh looking dried prunes and a variety of nuts.
