Lookout Hollow

We had to use this place while our house was being built. They were very helpful. My kids loved the pool and it was always clean. (That’s a huge plus in my book!) Thanks for taking care of us during a stressful time.

Their management office sucks. They don’t communicate well so everyone says something different.
The maintenance guy, Joe is awesome. Very friendly and nice.
The apartment itself is OK. It’s very new and clean but built cheap.
Amenity is OK as well. There are 2 pools and 2 clubhouse. But they don’t have enough doggy stations. Especially in phase II area, therefore a lot of newer people with their dogs leave their dog’s #2 without picking up. I wish they had more doggy stations or just a couple signs saying pick up after…
The community is safe and nice to take a walk but their sidewalk isn’t all connected and they are not stroller or wheelchair friendly.
We had a clubhouse issue recently. The management said first come first serve to use the clubhouse so we did but the other party showed up and took over our party. We have been taking to the office about this party but they said they won’t take names or whatsoever. I am so disappointed at how they manage this.
Overall, I like a living here but I do not like the management. They said lots of good things before we rent this place out but I don’t love a living here since we moved in. Oh also, the garden tub is nice but the hot water tank is too small to fill up.

Love it here. They now accept packages. Apartments are large, love the granite! Great pool area, billiards room.

This place sucks! Don’t be fooled by the good looks of it when you tour the place… the amenities they supposedly offer were always out of service! No propane in the BBQ, no paper or ink in the printer, no doggie bags on the lawn… I could go on and on. Not to mention that I had confirmed several times that we could move in on a particular Sunday because we had just driven all the way from California… no one was there!!! It only got worse. they could never get our paperwork right either. they would call my husband and me separately and tell us different things about certain papers we needed to come sign. when we’d come in to the office to sign them, they would act like they didn’t know what we were talking about! Girls in the office have major attitude and make excuses for the amenities constantly being out. Hey, here’s an idea… the printer ink keeps running out and we have to wait for it to be ordered and delivered… ORDER MORE INK AT ONE TiME! My issue with them now is that we moved out in December and still have not received deposit money back. I’ve called several times and it has still not been taken care of. When I do talk to someone, they have no clue what they’re taking about and just put me off saying they’ll call back. I tried calling their corporate office today to just go above their heads and to also file a complaint. I got the answering service who gave me attitude and told me «I have no clue who you should talk to to file a complaint…» Surprise surprise! Worst place I’ve lived/​had to deal with ever! DON’T DO IT!!!

Biggest drawback is that they don’t accept packages at the front office from UPS or FedEx. I receive shipments on a monthly basis, so I’ve always got to play a guessing game of staying home to accept the package or more often miss the delivery on three attempts and then having to go out of my way to find the UPS warehouse, which is 12 miles out of the way.
Also, there are some mini cars that race in the Retama Park parking lot. I haven’t quite figured out the racing schedule, but it just happens to fall on a weekend day I’d like to sleep in or relax at home, which is interrupted by screeching tires and mufflers.
Apartments are nice, a little over priced in my opinion, but that’s based on «market,» which simply means the greater occupancy rate, the more they’ll charge you when you walk in off the street or have to renew your lease. We were initially told verbally that our short-​term lease would not increase after it expired and we could go month-​to-​month at the same rate. However, our rent has been raised once, and will go up again once we enter the month-​to-​month option. If a leasing agent tells you something, get it in writing.
