I don’t know about you but road trips or road trips. Sometimes you do some silly things, sometimes you find one of a kind locations and sometimes you get lost. One of my travel made said heard about the history of the soma train station and wanted to see it. So we drove up to the Amtrak station and it was quaint but pretty nondescript. Did it add to adventure, sure. And now I can say I’ve seen Selma Amtrak station. What’s a girl to do? When you’re traveling with other people you have to make some stops you wouldn’t normally choose to make and just go with the flow.

WARNING: Park at your own risk. Amtrak does not own the station or the parking lot and employees at the station are contractors. The station and pkg lot are owned by the town of Selma. I was in MD and received a call on July 1, 2015 that my car would be towed if not moved, to accomodate the fireworks display the town of Selma put on July 3, 2015. I was 8 hrs away, so my very unhappy husband had to travel 4 hrs round trip and 212 miles to move my car to a grassy area they deemed suitable. He had to take off from work to do this. REALLY ! This is totally unacceptable. I contacted Amtrak and while sympathetic, there is nothing they can do, other than lodge a complaint with Selma. Big whoop ! I will be updating this review after I contact the town and get a resolution. Hopefully, I come back happy but I kind of doubt it.
