Do Not Hire These People. !!! On April 30, 2015, we called Atlas because they were close and had a local history. We had problem with the freezer half of our refrigerator unit not cooling as it should and leaking on occasion. Jim came out and said we needed freon. He put a ‘tap’ in the line so he could add the freon. He said it had a slow leak. Jim put in the freon a bit over. They charged us $ 187.25 two weeks to the day the freezer began getting hot. Then the fridge began getting hot. We tried, as Jim had said to add auto freon 134. The tap that Jim had installed would not fit the valve on the freon we tried for a clue days to find a way to make it fit. Finally on Sunday I called and left a message on their voice mail to coma on the following day which was Monday May 18, 2015. I told them the problem and that I had found some rather bad reviews on Unilocal and that if I had read them first, I would not have called them. I said that if I did not hear from them on Monday, I would also be writing a scathing review on Unilocal. So here is my experience with Atlas Appliance Service… DONOTRECOMMEND !!! We consulted another company who we deal with a lot. They said that the tap Jim installed basically rendered our refrigerator unit useless !! Lesson learned… Check with Unilocal and stick with what you know.

We called them for a refrigerator repair. It is only 3.5 years old. We had called the manufacturer first to find out what the potential problem was and they told us it sounded like a heater issue. Atlas came and told us it was the mother board. We doubted it, but they were convinced… to the tune of $ 530. The board was replaced and we still had a problem. They did come out and replace another board at no additional charge. They said it was all fixed and 3 weeks later we still had a problem. We believe that it was a mis-diagnosis. We had another company come out and they said for this type of fridge you should go to the manufacturer for repair diagnosis because they are the only ones with a «reader» which can correctly diagnose it… which Atlas would have told me that before I was more than $ 500 in. We won’t be calling them again for a repair.

I was hesitant to call Atlas because of the bad reviews, but they were awesome! I called on a Wednesday afternoon because our dryer wasn’t working. The guys were at the house less than an hour later and the dryer was fixed a half hour after that. Very friendly guys and great service.

The guy here is so rude. Take your business elsewhere. I’m all for small local businesses, but this is the last place I will ever go again for any of my appliance needs. I don’t know how they stay in business. In addition to him just being mean or rude, they display a Visa sign on their door and then would not let us use a credit card. I will be reporting this to Visa as well.
