My old water heater(A.O. Smith brand) was spewing water from the top pipes. Not good! Avoid A.O. Smith water heaters like the plague! It was the second water heater that we had gotten in seven years so I decided to go in a different direction. I decided to buy a nice Rheem water heater from Home Depot. That night, I called and found the model, size and price that I wanted. Home Depot transferred me to their sub-contract Delta Mechanical, Inc. to set up an installation. They were friendly and helpful. I was scheduled for the next day for 2 – 6. The day of installation arrived and I got a call from Delta telling me that they had overbooked for the day. They would not be able to come until the next day. I tried to remain calm and reasoned with the company and they found that they could squeeze me in at around 2 that day for the installation. My face became less red. Around 11:00, I got a call from the installer(Stefan Petrov) to say that if it was alright, he could be here at 11:30! You bet! There were some challenges with the placement of the water heater but we figured a way to get it to fit and within the city code requirements. The work was done within two hours. I couldn’t be more pleased with the professional result. I was told that they specialize in warranty work as well as installations. If you go through Home Depot or any other big box store and they use Delta Mechanical consider yourself lucky!
