We went to Daley’s flame broiled burgers, next door and figured the easy thing to do would be to walk over and get some beer. Walked over and perused their rather limited and overpriced inventory of booze. We selected an overpriced 12 pack of Yuengling and proceeded to the counter. Some cashier with a stud in her nose checked us out. I asked if they sold tonic water as I didn’t see it on the shelf. She replied, «no we don’t.» Like it was the most stupid question she had ever heard. Hello, it’s tonic water. gin and tonic and vodka tonic are both of very popular drinks and you stock both liquids in abundance but you don’t carry probably the most popular mixer. If you want to pay more, get less, with a slice of attitude, patronize this dump. As for me, Never again!

Judging this book by its cover, one would think the inside would be a Disneyland for alcoholics, but it’s not. It’s just your run-​of-​the-​mill liquor store, but with slightly inflated prices. These guys are the last big stop before hitting the Tom Stuart Causeway, and they know it. Ahh, gotta love that Capitalism!

Here is my thing though, a lot of tourists probably roll thru here, and since Seminole is part of the «Tampa Bay Area,» I’d love to see places like this punctuate our rich cigar history by offering up local and major brand smokes. I didn’t see any locally-​rolled stogies, and while they had a lot of cigars, most were not very good or very well-​known. I’d rather see a much smaller selection that has a lot of «wow» factor.
Lastly, not sure what was going on with the Florida beer section, but dayum! There were virtually no options at all. 7 – 11 might carry more, and that makes me sad.

While vacationing for the week on Treasure Island we ran out of my favorite beer, Schöfferhofer Grapefruit. We hit up all the liquor stores in the immediate area and nobody had even heard of it. On a previous visit I hadn’t seen it in stock so I called ahead of time before driving out. The woman on the phone knew exactly what I was talking about and they had it in stock! When we came in the ladies behind the counter were very helpful and nice.

Spirits is like a smaller, somewhat sketchier version of ABC. You can find a decent selection of wines and beers here and most prices are abut what you’d pay elsewhere – or at least the items we came into contact with on our recent stop here. You’re not going to get the selection of ABC or Total Wine here, but it’s a step up from a grocery store or convenience store.

Shameful! ! Walked in to purchase something for my parents with my very small service animal in my arms. The girl at the counter refused to allow my to purchase the two items. My dog has been trained extensively and did not make a sound. The cashier was flipping through some sort of ‘rules or guidelines ’ and said I could only have my service animal with me if I needed her to see because of health violations because they bag their own ice. I showed my training and United States Service Animal Registry Card but she did not care. Apparently if service animals are needed for sight they do not cause any health risk… management needs to train their employees to understand ADA laws.
