Welcome to the 19th century! No, really. The Hubbell House B&B is an over-the-top but exquisite re-imagining of an Andrew Jackson Downing Gothic Revival cottage set on the shore of VanCleef Lake. The proprietors have invested many years and dollars in restoring and recreating an ambiance that is simultaneously whimsical and accurate. Our bedroom featured a «bird» motif and contained finishes and knick-knacks known to William Morris and Rudy Vallee(but probably not simultaneously). The hot breakfast was excellent, and we shared it with a honeymoon couple who had spent a week at the B&B. If that is not a recommendation, I don’t know what is. You really should go here.
