This is hands down one of the best places for BBQ. I travel all over the country and this place is at the top of my list. Only con would be that it is a small place and it gets crowded if you are not early for lunch.

Best BBQ when we want to stay close to home. Either order ahead or come early in the day because the owners cook the food and when they run out, that is it for the day. We came at 5PM once and the pulled pork and ribs were already gone. Food is definitely great. We also were fortunate one trip to have the tres leche coconut cake — my husband hasn’t stopped talking about it since.

This BBQ is so good, my husband and I agree it would be worth getting your paycheck in their food rather than cash. The brisket is like butter. So flavorful and perfectly smoked. The pulled pork is so tender and well complimented by any of their sauces. They’re quick to refill your sweet tea and the service is fast and exceptionally friendly. We rarely carry cash, and their no credit/debit card policy kept us away far too long. Now we will make it a point to get a little cash to visit on a regular basis!

We’ve eaten lots and lots of bbq. This place rocks! Cash or check only. Menu changes, but the basics are always available. Very friendly staff. I could go on and on about the deliciousness factor, but you’ve got to taste it to believe it.

Excellent choice for dinner. We had brisket and rib tips and they were excellent. This is a farm to table establishment. You won’t find a freezer or can opener in this place. The service was friendly and provided a fun atmosphere. The portions are generous and the sides were very good. It frequently sells out… Which is a positive message as well.

This is serious BBQ. I’ve eaten a lot of BBQ in my life, this is the best. The staff, friendliest around. The restaurant super clean. This is THE place I recommend people try. I assure you, you will not be disappointed. I love the fresh seasonal veggie sides. I can wait for the collard greens. My personal favorite. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed

If I could give this place 6 stars, I absolutely would. Just ate the second of two meals there in as many days. We tried almost everything and agree as a family(4 people, with 2 children) that it’s the best we’ve had. Hands down. And we eat a lot of BBQ, including smoking our own. Favorites were ribs and brisket, but everything was delicious. Homemade bleu cheese dressing with the wings. Does it get any better? Peanut butter chocolate bread pudding dessert was something about which I will absolutely dream. It’s clear that quality matters here and a lot of time and love go into the cooking. Super nice people to top it all off. Will be a new highlight of our trips to the area.

This is our favorite bbq joint around. Used to be smokin pig biggest fans but blacks beats them and only 5 mins from home is a plus. I’m glad they are only open Thurs thru Sat or I would eat here too often. I go here for lunch almost every week. Hands down, the smoke stack sandwich, side and drink for $ 10 is absolutely worth it. Pulled pork, brisket and thick cut bacon on a kaiser bun. Huge sandwich with amazing flavor. Owners are soo nice. They are opening a southern restaurant next door soon and own Blue Marble Café past Lowes in Seneca which is also delicious and sandwiches are very fresh.

I had to look over the menu for a while since there were so many good choices. I ordered the KC rib tips. Seeing the food come to the table, I laughed out loud because I couldn’t believe the huge portions of meat! The tips we piled high with a very sweet barbecue sauce. I also had some great bacon mac and cheese, with Cajun corn on the cob. They brought out some blackberry and peach combination cobbler that was out of this world! If you are in Seneca on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, this is a must do!

I did like it! Don’t take my rating wrong I just like lean lean meat. I had to pick through most of it. It was to fatty for me :/and my child didn’t eat anything but ice cream. They don’t have fries or chicken: D. She doesn’t eat pork. They have good nice people working there! My family loved it! Im Just a picky eater I guess.

True Southern hospitality!!! I found this little gem on Unilocal and had to pay them a visit. Right away we were greeted by the owner, who was very nice and helpful. I ordered the Smokehouse because I wanted to try a little of everything. Beef brisket, pulled pork, ribs and my choice of 2 sides for $ 18 oh my! There was so much food, I couldn’t imagine anyone eating that much, it was amazing. The meat, the sides, the bread, the sauces… my taste buds were in overload. My mouth is watering just thinking about it, good thing I have left overs. To finish off this wonderful meal we had their chocolate chip strawberry shortcake with fresh whipped cream. My husband and son do not like strawberries and this dessert had lots of them but it did not deter them one bit from shoveling it in their mouths as fast as they could, I had to fight to get a bite but it was worth it. I will be visiting again in the future! Just a note: they only take cash or check so be prepared

So I first have to say that«BBQ» is a personal choice when it comes to what is and is not good«BBQ»!! What one person likes another will detest… I had the pleasure of tasting Blacks BBQ today! I had the smokehouse platter and was pleasantly surprised. The Ribs were some of the best I have ever had(including my own), and the pulled port was some of the best I have ever tasted! Now is when my personal preference comes in for«Brisket» it’s not that theirs is horrible… its not! It’s not that I didn’t like it… It was ok. However, in speaking with the owner I figured out what it was… it is done with Oak instead of Mesquite and to me that makes all the difference in the world. Other than that one thing, everything else was wonderful including the service. Just remember to bring cash because they do not take credit cards.

Oh my gosh. I am now planning to retire to Sceneca, SC just so I can eat at Black’s every day. My husband and I were in Sceneca for a funeral and used Unilocal to find a place to eat. Seeing that Black’s had 5 stars we decided to head there. Turned out to be about a mile from where we were. We pulled up to an unassuming building. Already we could smell the smoke. We walked in the door and were greated by perhaps the nicest restaurant ever. She walked us through the menu, told us she didn’t have a couple things that were still on the smoker. But no worries, there was plenty. I had pulled pork plater and my husband the Smokehouse(pork, brisket and ribs) we both had beans and mac & cheese for sides and added corn on the cob. Everything was delicious. The smoke ring on the meat was amazing. The smoke flavor was intense. The meat was tender and amazing. My husband is a BBQSNOB and HE loved it. The sides were good too. No… scratch that. the corn & the beans were awesome. The atmosphere is quaint and the staff is friendly. We will be making the trip. up there from Atlanta soon!
