The service was great and that’s mainly why I’m giving this restaurant 3 stars. The food was ok. I had the black and bleu burger and my husband had the fresco burger. Both burgers were very spicy. Not something either of us expected. I did like the small cut fries. I will probably go back some day, but not anytime soon.

I’ve been to quite a few places and can’t find anything like sole!!! The food has always been great and the waitstaff are wonderful. Prices are good for what you get. Especially if you go on a Monday or Wednesday. Monday is all you can eat sushi for $ 13.99 and Wednesday is bogo. The sushi is amazing and the other items on their menu have always impressed. My boyfriend said it was one of the best burgers he had ever eaten! Try to get reservations if going on a Monday. They are always packed.

I’ve eat here almost every Wednesday for over a year. The food is always delicious, bogo Wednesdays and the edamame as an appetizer is great. Their«shrimp sauce» is called dino-sauce btw, you’ll want it for your sushi. A friend of mine doesn’t like sushi so she ordered a Parmesan chicken breast and it was the best chicken I have ever had. I can’t say enough good things abt this place. You’ll want to make a reservation on Wednesdays because they’re packed. The Maine roll and the grove are the best! UPDATE: we ate here Wednesday as usually for sushi and again Saturday– but this time I got the honey glazed salmon omg it was amazing and my bf got a burger with sour dough bread and grits and all were perfect. This is by far the best place to eat in the area with out a doubt!

Visiting from Charleston– the new cuisine Capitol of the South… the food is fresh and the menu is diverse. The prices are on point! Highly recommend!

Who would have thought that sushi in SC mountains would be good? Not only that, but they have bogo on Wednesdays! The only bad thing is, if someone reserves a table for 6pm, they reserve it from the time they uptrend until you get there. So you can get there and have to wait for the 1 table that is not reserved… Ugh that is no fun and super unproductive.

As someone who works in the restaurant industry, I was throughly underwhelmed by everything. The app fried asparagus cold and flavorless. The we ordered the blackend seared red fish which was neither blackened nor seared. It was un seasoned and fried. The wild basmati rice was not wild but white basmati. So when we made our server(very friendly and had her hair up) aware we were sent the hostess. Bc the manager in the orange shirt was to busy sipping his cocktail, to be of assistance. Also the apparent shortage of hair barrettes for your servers/bartender. I mean really who wants food delivered by servers whose hair is dangling over food or a cocktail for the bartender who had repeatedly had her hair on liquor bottles and in glases. And repeatedly coughed into her hand without washing them. BTW paid for the entire dinner. Suggest you dine elsewhere.

At our visit earlier this month, we arrived fairly early for dinner, around 5:30. The place was so busy with reservations and traffic that we had to sit at the sushi bar. No problem. Sole’s sushi bar was not at all what I expected. It was the old bar set up from a former restaurant. Waitstaff still took our orders, but we were belly up the gentlemen(most of them anyway) making sushi, and that was something to behold. There were at least five guys making sushi in front of us. I think there were more in the kitchen The way the worked as a team with one another and the waitstaff was impressive, and we would not have seen this seated any other place in the joint. There are sushi specials on Mondays and Wednesdays that must keep this place hopping. What they have done to accommodate the traffic is creative for a sushi place and works well. It keeps the sushi fresh, and fast. They have a variety of non-threatening Americanized rolls and some Southern specials. They have a reasonable selection of vegetarian sushi, though it isn’t as creative as some of their other special rolls. Everything tasted good, including our appetizers. This place is growing on me. I hope it’s not too hot to enjoy patio service next time I am in town to check it out even more.

Awful! Had a gloppy tasteless penne pasta dish plus hair in it, indifferent service and off –tasting sushi. Done!

Found this restaurant to be noisy with mediocre service. Had to ask for silverware after the food was brought to the table. Table was cheap and had a bad wobble. Sushi was good and reasonably priced. Steak was good and well cooked to order. Not sure where they got their scallops, as they were the size of small peas. All in all it had good food but a noisy atmosphere and mediocre service.

Probably the best place to get sushi in town. Very popular place and decent location. If you’re looking for some good sushi and drinks I would definitely recommend here. Wednesday night is BOGO and I think Mondays they have all you can eat. Great staff and restaurant is nice and clean equipped with multiple TVs and seating both inside and an outdoor patio.

Best sushi in area. Great atmosphere and nicest bar in the city. Big enough menu to take the whole family and still make everyone happy. Can’t believe there aren’t more reviews on this place!

My boyfriend and I have gone to Sole a couple times for Monday night all you can eat sushi. The sushi isn’t great quality-simple rolls and a little too much rice– but it tastes great! Lots of spicy options if that’s what you are into. Another positive is the atmosphere. The tables and décor is nice, and the bar area where we always sit is a cool spot. The service is definitely hit or miss. Our last waitress had to be flagged down for drink refills(in her defense the place was packed). The only other issue was that because of the Monday crowds we waited a long time to get seated. Definitely make a reservation! All in all, Sole is a good place for a night out. I will definitely be going back!

The sushi is great, which explains the three stars. The service, not so much. I had never eaten at sole and decided to give it a try. When i walked in, the servers were all standing at the podium talking and all gave me a funny look. None of them spoke so i asked where to place a to go order. One lady said«at the bar». No one offered to take me to the bar(assuming i knew where it was located). So i just walked through the restaurant. I had to stop at the sushi BAR to ask if that is where i was to place my order. The man pointed me on to the next room where i ordered and sat at the alcohol bar(being underage). The bar tender didn’t talk. A few servers did come stand directly beside me and chit chat with the tender though, still not offering conversation to me. I think ill stick to Tokyo in Clemson for my sushi from now on.

They have just started doing all you can eat sushi on Monday night. The concept is great, but the service has been hit or miss. Paesano’s is still our favorite for great locals conversation and a cocktail/dinner…they’re not open on Monday, Sole fills the void if we are dying to get out of the house and don’t feel like driving to Greenville

Those of you who missed the Sole’ in Clemson before the big devastating fire in Victoria Square, take heart. It’s opened up in a new location in Seneca right on the main road – 123– and is still serving lovely food in a much nicer setting(and here again let me plug Oconee County – it’s a GREATPLACE). Bigger and with a much more diverse clientele, Sole’ still boasts a decent wine list and the same tapas/entrees menu as before with the addition of a sushi bar(owners also have 356 in Clemson, so it makes sense). My husband and I went on a Saturday – the crowd varied from folks just off the lake after a day of boating, to the Keowee Key crowd, to couples like us on «date night.» We ordered a bottle of the house pinot grigio($ 14 – seriously – and it’s pinot, so you can’t go wrong there, really). We ordered some of our old favorites from the«old» Sole’ from the tapas menu, and things were pretty much as we remembered them. The martini-soaked fried olives were very nice – a good bite to the olives, and a generous portion for the $ 7 price. I swear these were stuffed with bleu cheese at the old Sole’, but maybe I’m dreaming – it would be nice to see these stuffed this way, rather than with the standard pimento. The steak tataki was excellent – extremely rare(almost a carapaccio) with a lovely soy-based sauce to balance out the flavor. This might be my favorite from the«old» place. We also ordered the standard spinach and artichoke dip(hey, we had to have SOMETHING green), and it had an almost smoky flavor to it, which was nice. We finished with an order of strawberry shortcake – one serving was definitely enough for two – and the flatbread shortcake was not too sweet, and was balanced nicely with the two ridiculously huge scoops of ice cream and the homemade strawberry sauce. My only suggestion here would be MORESAUCE, less ice cream! Service was friendly and helpful – however, the kitchen needs to work out a few glitches. Although the food we ordered was billed as part of the«tapas» menu, it all came out at once. I suggest you ask for a specific order to your food when you speak with the server, or perhaps order one dish at a time. Time will work out these kinks. In short, this is a lovely addition to the Oconee dining scene. It’s a great crowd, with easy parking and plenty of room inside, unlike the old Sole’. Give it a try, folks – it’s well worth it.
