Orders take some time, but certainly worth the wait. Their seafood chowder is the real deal, and their cheesesteak was a juicy, buttery delight.

Well, James just keeps upping his game; prawn Po’boys & melts and Dungeness crab sandwiches for starters. And now he has added the best seafood chowder I’ve ever had.

If you want to wait for 35 minutes for a mediocre sandwich this is the place for you ! Rude server understaffed and totally un-apoplectic. Even though our business is nearby we are now done with the slow service & inconsistent food. Business is for sale. Sloooow.

I was excited to see there was a variety of gluten free items I could have. My friends and I heard the place was great. I was there the only day it wasn’t great. 4 adults and 2 kids and our food took 2 hours to make! The chef told me he made 3 refunds for people who couldn’t wait any more for their food. I don’t know what happened but I won’t come back here.

Little place located in Sequim next to a gas station. Ordered the Turkey, Bacon and Acocado sandwich. Everything tastes fresh. The tomatoes were very sweet and the bread was very good… as if it was made at a local bakery. Will stop by again when I’m in the area!

This is a mom and pop operation and this chef makes sandwiches at snails pace so be prepared to wait! Came here on a saturday around 2 not thinking it would be too busy, but boy were we wrong. The 3 orders ahead of us caused us to wait about 50 minutes before our sandwiches were ready. First strike: out of meat for ruben sandwich(1st choice of sandwich). Next, out of steak meat philly cheeseteak(2nd choice). Next, out of turkey for turkey sandwich(3rd choice). I guess we caught them on a bad day? They were down half their sandwiches yet, it wasn’t marked off on the signage. That was very frustrating when you’re hungry and looking for something to eat. We order our sandwiches we want and settle down. second strike: 15 minutes go by, 30 minutes go by, 45 minutes go by… finally 50 minutes later we get our food. The estimate they told us? 15 – 20 minutes. In addition, the guy who ordered right before us ended up canceling his order because he said he was waiting over an hour for his food. The chef made up some excuses and said his sandwiches were almost ready but the guy had had enough and got out of there. Third strike: After the guy ahead of us cancelled his order, the chef FINALLY go around to making our sandwiches and while doing so he would not stop complaining about the guy who just cancelled his order. Non-stop. to the woman taking the orders. saying something along the lines of «if you want a hot, quality sandwich, it takes time…» This guy couldn’t understand why someone was upset they had to wait over an HOUR for their food when they were hungry. go figure! We were so hungry while we were waiting we ended up buying some skittles to hold us over. We couldn’t stand the bitching from the cook the rest of our 15 minute wait. The sandwiches weren’t worth the long wait, it wasn’t anything special. I enjoyed the nice toasted bun though. Maybe if the food took the actual 15 – 20 minutes it would have tasted better. This chef needs to learn to shut his mouth and cook. And cook more than 2 sandwiches at a time.

The owner wrote a note explaining that he lost some key personnel recently, and was short staffed. He was very apologetic, and seemed sincere. His reaching out shows his commitment to customer satisfaction, and I would give this place another chance. Food was just OK, but the really awful part was that we had to wait a really long time just to get sandwiches. Maybe this is the first time these folks have tried the restaurant business, but they are extremely inefficient. Also, the entire restaurant could hear the chef(maybe he is the owner) loudly berate the lady who took our order because she forgot to write down what kind of cheese my daughter wanted on her sandwich. This made everyone uncomfortable because it went in for what felt like an eternity. These people REALLY have issues! I would NOT go back

We were there the tenth of July, 2015. This place is definitely open. I chatted with the owner about the review saying it was closed, he said they were unexpectedly closed for a few days but they’re back to business as usual. And if my visit was any indication, business is delicious. Six of us visited. Two of us exclaimed in delight at our first bite. Mine was of this thick and tenderly delicious cheesesteak. It was amazing! My wife had the chowder. I got two bites, It was lighter than the usual chowder but had great flavor and lots of tasty bits. My daughters shared a grilled cheese. I got one bite of this. It was the same delicate mix of melted and crispy cheese that I aim for when I make them. Dining area was small but clean, plus it had a nice view of the area. The service was fast and pleasant. Will visit again.

Simple Italian sub, but remarkably tasty. Perfect bread and great customer service. All fresh everything — meat, cheese, soup, potato salad, etc. Don’t let the strange building fool you, these guys want to make a good product at a fair price.

Tried: Turkey bacon club; grilled veggie sandwich Both tasted completely homemade, yummy & were pretty quickly prepared. Ingredients were high-quality. For the remoteness of the location this place is an easy five stars in my book. Yeah, I write books. The only suggestion I would have is to cut the bread slices a little thicker to be more forgiving to time elapse. By the time I got to my second half it was a mess to scoop into my mouth: it was embarrassing but had to be done! Next time I will try a sandwich on a bun instead.

sandwiches are good but it is WAY too expensive. We spent nearly $ 35 for 2 small sandwiches, 2 sliders, potato salad and 3 pops. AND we were still hungry! $ 8 for a tiny sandwich/roll WITHOUT any sides or drinks. Not a good deal by any means. But there was a good crowd. No complaint on the quality of food just wish you got more for your money

Just as a sandwich shop should be. Fresh food, a few add ons, quick seating, happy atmosphere with a pleasant owner. Amazingly tasty sandwiches!

Wow! Don’t let this little place that looks like its a gas station fool you! This is definately a hidden gem. I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I am from out of town but from now on every time I hit Sequim I am stopping here. If you don’t eat here you are missing out. Pulled pork was absolutely amazing! Reuben was to die for! On top of the great food the staff was extremely polite and helpful. I am telling you if you are in Sequim you have to eat here. Thank you Fresh Mix Grill for reminding me what real amazing food tastes like.

I know where i can go for a philly cheesesteak fix now. It’s exactly what you’d want a philly cheesesteak to be. I really like their sub — lightly crisp and very soft/chewy, that awesome texture of good sandwich bread. The meat, cheese, onions — perfectly flavored and cooked, not too of anything but just right. The sandwich is honestly nothing special, but it’s just done so right. If you want a good, solid philly cheesesteak, this will hit the spot. I’m excited to come back to try the other items on their menu. Also a big plus that the staff is suuuper friendly.

This place earns every 5 of its stars. Try the Ruben if you can’t decide. I was a little hesitant about this place from the overly cheery menu and bright colored building. We stopped while on a road trip and had two of the best sandwiches ever and on top of the good sandwiches the side of soup blew me away(Cream of Mushroom). They genuinely are using some of the freshest ingredients I have had from a deli and we left giving it a full 5. Enjoy!

While on vacation, we discovered this hole in the wall gem. Everything was super fresh and cooked to order. The Reuben sandwich was made with house cured corned beef. I had one if the specials: the green gobbler panini filled with bacon turkey avocado Portobello sweet onion and a sharp provolone melted on the middle. To top off the great food, the owners were very friendly and came outside to the picnic table to ask if we liked it. Great food, great experience, I would absolutely go back if I wasn’t just passing through.
