Great dinner tonight, finished with the best Black Rice Pudding with Coconut Ice Cream I’ve ever had!

This place is amazing. Best Tom Yum and Tom Kha soup EVER, even better than what I had in Bangkok, seriously. Friends moved here earlier this year. Now I can’t wait to visit, not just to see my lovely friends but to also have this soup. The rest of the food is also terrific. Yumminess!

I travel through Sequim once or twice a month, and looked forward to eating at Galare, until I ordered the scallops curry. In the sea of coconut milk, with a couple of sweet pepper strips, a couple of bok choy leaves, and too few basil leaves, were 3 lonely small scallops($ 18). I asked for an order of tofu($ 3) to add but as told I would have to send the dish back, a side of tofu was not allowed without it being cooked in the curry. I just wanted some cubes of pan fried tofu to accompany the scallops. The proprietor was unapologetic indicating the scallops cost $ 2 apiece and coconut milk was expensive. I left very unsatisfied, felt sorry for our server, and for my dinner companion, who had to sit through the ordeal. So sad. Other dishes I’ve ordered on previous visits(including the curries) have been great.

Very delicious food, I loved my meal and overheard others at their tables exclaiming about how yummy their food was. The service was just right, the server had a thick accent but it didn’t make it hard to order, and added to the authenticity. I got the Basil Chicken, it was very flavorful and fresh, no weird pieces of chicken either. There is the option to get brown rice instead of the jasmine rice, but the jasmine is so fragrant you really should get it. I also ordered the Mango Sticky Rice for dessert, it was so good and the mango was fresh and ripe. The $ 2 hot tea is a teapot that holds about 3 small mugs of tea. It was not so hot that I burned my tongue. The water is lemon water, which isn’t amazing but I really enjoyed it. All in all, I really enjoyed myself and cleaned my plate, which I almost never do.

Really less than one star. Seated, given water, and left to starve. Walked out, service non-existent. The staff very analog, only able to accomplish one task per trip to floor, then 4 – 5 minutes in the back. Place not that busy, but staff completely at a loss. I don’t care how good the food is supposed to be, lack of service makes this place unacceptable, other Thai restaurant in town is well above average and their service is exceptional.

this was absolutely the best Thai food I’d ever had. There were 6 of us and we all ordered different things, but I am still dreaming of the Radnar noodles with tofu. OMG. OMG. OMG. I wish there were more noodles(they seemed to be handmade) for that delicious sauce, and next time I’ll request that. I wish I had some now…

Great little Thai restaurant right in the heart of Sequim. Dishes are large and in charge! So the prices may seem a bit higher, but you are getting more bang for your buck. The Massaman curry is amazing and has a hearty portion of carrots, meat(I went with chicken), and potatoes. The pad thai and drunken noodles are also faves. Specials look interesting if you’re into seafood(I’m not). Definitely give this a try if you’re in Sequim and need some ethnic goodness!

Best Thai food in Sequim! Try the Basil Noodle with Chicken and extra mushrooms. I usually do take out and they’ll have it ready in 10 – 15 minutes.

I am visiting from NorCal, so needless to say I was skeptical about Thai in Sequim. It was fantastic! I especially loved the Tom Kha with veggies and the green curry.

This review is for take-out. I plan on writing an updated review after I’ve dined in to leave a fair review. I’ve heard many wonderful things about Galare Thai. This is why I decided to finally give it a try today for lunch(the lunch menu is very limited, by the way). I ordered Basil Chicken and it was delicious! However, as my dish started to cool down, I noticed how greasy it was. You could see all the oil floating on top… Also, there were about 6 – 8 pieces of chicken. I thought I was mistaken! Vegetable was very fresh though. I understand that lunch portions are smaller, but I was slightly disappointed. I want to give this restaurant another try and post a new review.

The food was decent. The service was very slow. The server was not friendly at all, until we got up to leave. Very cheerful good bye… I hate bad service!

The last time we visited was for my husbands birthday, he loves duck, that was what he ordered, after about 20 minutes, the waiter comes back and says they wereout of the duck, so he was very disappointed after telling him there was no duck, after waiting 20 minutes to be told that, and being his birthday they never offered any dessert at all. The food was good, but service not so much, that is why I gave it 3 stars. Also the time before that we waited 45 minutes before we were served with no apologies.

Very good quality food, thoughtfully prepared. Think about what I just said for a moment and it’s a huge statement to make about any restaurant. The menu prices are not for individual servings. Order a single dish to split between two or three people or let everyone order for themselves and know that you’ll be asking for take-home boxes. The«heat» rating scale is on the m ild side, in my opinion. A four star hot is still pleasant to eat. The dishes seemed to be a bit on the sweet side of spicy but very nicely balanced. The wait staff was attentive and efficient — quietly accomplishing every task for every customer. While I was there, they also served a table of hiking-ready campers, a large family with small children and a dog(which remained outside), and other more ordinary guests, all effectively. The restrooms were spotless and comfortable. Have I missed anything? Easy to find, easy access, plenty of parking. My new favorite Thai(out of four that are on my local list). Well done!

I’ve heard about this place for quite some time now — and finally got myself to go visit it. The décor as you walk in is cozy and somewhat comfortable. We were greeted by a nice older(assuming Thai) gentleman who was very attentive to our needs. My girlfriend and I both ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, one 3-star and the other no stars. All I can say is wow — this is the most excellent Pad Thai I’ve ever had, full of so much flavor and the noodles were cooked perfectly. Portions are great also. Honestly, this is hands down, the best place for food in Sequim besides the Alderwood Bistro. Prices at Galare are decent, a little more than normal but not excessive. And their Thai Tea is of course a must-try to keep with the authenticity of Thai cuisine. My only complaint was paying around $ 5 for a Mirror Pond(Pale Ale), when I could have bought a six pack at Safeway for $ 1 – 2 more. Don’t forget to leave your name with a note or business card under the glass of the tables, everyone does it!

Oh Galare Thai, How much I loved your Pad Thai! … Best Pad Thai in Sequim! fast friendly service and the owner was really talkative and made sure that we were taken care of. I loved reading all the notes that people left on the table we had under the glass… The appetizers were flavorful and so were the sauces. amazing peanut sauce! I can not wait until I return! hopefully soon!

I’ve eaten a lot of Thai food in many cities and Galare Thai is the best Sequim has to offer. Very consistent, good food, nice place and friendly too. A favorite spot for lunch.

Tasty little Thai restaurant in Sequim that we visited over the weekend. I got the Pad Thai, which was very good. It was a HUGE portion and had a lot of sauce(in a good way in my opinion). Even though I ordered medium hot, I didn’t feel like it was spicy enough. My wife got the drunken noodle, which was ok but for some reason tasted charred like they cooked the onions for too long. Other customers got panang curries that looked absolutely mammoth in size, so I would definitely return to try that.

To be fair that should actually be a 4.5 stars. We are in town for the holidays from the Bay Area. We stopped in for lunch after scanning the previous Unilocal reviews. We were very pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was very nice and quaint. The owner worked to serve a rather full lunch rush with only one person in the kitchen. The flow of the lunch was very timely and the staff very friendly. We ordered the chicken panang curry and the chicken pad thai. Both were really good. I loved the panang curry! It was as good as any in the bay. The only thing I would say is that the food was not as spicy as we would have liked. We both ordered 4 out of 5 stars(which elsewhere would have left you wanting more water). We took a card to recommend this place to the rest of the family. We will definitely be back!

We are staying at the Holiday Inn nearby and were not sure about this place because it only had one review on Unilocal. We are from Seattle and expect to eat great Thai. This place is not only great it meets or exceeds the quality and food of any Thai restaurant in Seattle. We had chicken coconut soup, red curry prawns, spring rolls, cashew chicken, and mango and sticky rice. Oh, and the crab fried rice. Fantastic! Fantastic! Fantastic! Why 4 and not 5 stars? It was way cold in there. It is January 1 and 20 degrees outside but they need to crank up the heat. Otherwise, it was fantastic!!! :)
