This is my second stay in the duplex and its just as beautiful as the first time — I feel like I’m in a dream looking out the windows at the idyllic view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca from the upper level(bedroom). I could stay in bed all day just gawking at the water. At night, its neat to see the lit up cruise ships heading towards the Pacific Ocean and the lights of Victoria. Lots of wildlife, saw a seal, bald eagle, heard there are otters, but didn’t see one, plenty of deer, but missed seeing the Roosevelt Elk. Thank you Karen for making my stay so restful. You have a beautiful spot on Marine Drive. See you again.

We stayed in the duplex for a week and a half and loved it! We had an in your face view of the Juan de Fuca straight and enjoyed frequent sightings of deers and bald eagles. Although the kitchen is modest, it was furnished with every utensil and gadget we needed. The bedroom and living area were beautifully furnished. The front deck with table and chairs was a favorite hangout and eating place for us. We would stay here again!

This is a review by proxy since it was my aunt and uncle who stayed in the cottage here, but you’d think it was our reservation with the amount of time we spent here. During our family reunion, this was a constant meeting spot, barbeque area, and general hang out place. The adorable cottage sits back from the road so no water view(see the Duplex for that) but the generous deck overlooks farmland, the mountains, and the friendly neighborhood alpaca. Best news is that Karen’s Cottages allows dogs which is getting harder and harder to find in Sequim. Now we just have to worry about fighting over this place in the future.
