Silver Spring, MD
Nice retro motel with very nice price. Friendly and helpful staff. Reminds me that advantages of motels is parking right outside your door. No need to schlep bags through a lobby and then up an elevator. Location is in the land of lavender fields, and we were glad we stayed there while passing through. They gave us the executive king room and the room was clean, neat and appreciated.

The Red Ranch Inn apparently closed (2011 – 2012 ???). In its place is the Summit View Inn, which is well worth a look. Our room was clean, modern, spacious & reasonable; ($ 98 + taxes thru
). Had fridge, mwave, lg flat-​screen TV, good wi-​fi. Second vanity-​sink in shower/​toilet room. Concur with most of the other Summit View review comments; probably would give 2−½ to 3 stars.

There’s a great deal to like about this place. Good bed, nice linens, attractive furnishings, large flat screen tv (though not receiving HD signal), free reasonably speedy wifi, upgraded bathroom, in-​room fridge and microwave. But one huge strike for the thin walls. I can not only hear but understand every word of the conversation going on in the next room at normal, not shouted, volume. And another few points off for the skimpy towels, and for forcing a queen-​size fitted sheet onto a king-​size mattress (I give it less than an hour before the first corner pops loose). For over $ 100 I expect better.

The hotel itself is near a trailer park which affects the view as you aren’t looking to overlook a trailer park!
The room itself was spacious, clean and well stocked. The toiletries were nice and so was the bedding. It did have a fridge and microwave. It is near stores and restaurants. It didn’t have a phone or safe in the room.

We checked in at the gal at the front desk was very friendly and even gave us a small discount on the room. Room was clean for the most part, except for the big spider web in the corner… Get rid of the spider web and and overall not a bad place…

We made a last minute decision to stay the night here and we definitely didn’t regret it. We booked via
and immediately they called us to tell us there were no rooms with a king bed left. They upgraded us to one of their new renovated rooms for free. Our room was incredibly clean and the bathroom was really nice. The only con was that they didn’t provide a «do not disturb» sign and the maid came knocking at 9am :(

This hotel looked new so we thought we’d try it. Rooms are nice — mini fridge and microwave. Very comfortable king bed and quiet. Close to everything. Very clean.
