Did not go here with great expectations, but just wanting to try a new(to us) place in Sequim. What a disappointment! Like the other reviewers we noticed the 80s décor, Asian staff, etc. But generally we like quirky so weren’t put off by any of that. My husband ordered the fresh oysters as advertised on the«specials» sign up front. I saw the same item in the menu, for the same price and when I inquired about it was told that the«special» were fresh oysters… as opposed to what, I wondered. When delivered to the table they were greasy and soggy and the requested baked potato was no where to be found. It did come quickly, when the error was pointed out. My Crab Louie… now here’s the real disappointment… was served with bagged, shredded, iceberg lettuce. Yes, I know iceberg is traditional, but shredded is difficult to eat with a fork… and bagged… yuck. For $ 18.95 I think they could have found some local greens and made a much more appealing salad. We won’t be leaving our money there again… ever :(

Popular place for the much older crowd for some reason. Food is okay, service is good, and it’s family-friendly. I would put the food in the adequate category at best. Nothing to write home about.

We tried it for dinner with a larger party and I was super disappointed by the food and service. Simply put, the seafood wasn’t worth the price. The shrimp were basic and oily, the potatoes tasted like they were instant, which I’m guessing they were, and completely salt less. The décor was really old fashioned as well, like from the 80’s. Would not recommend.

I wasn’t terribly awed by this dining experience. We were in search of a place with«dungeness crab» on the menu, and they seemed to have a lot of reviews raving about a sandwich with it on the menu. We found it, split the meal and left satisfied… but man, it was expensive for a grilled cheese sandwich with a bit of crab meat thrown in! I don’t know what else Sequim has to offer, but if I lived nearby I’d have to try the other places before settling on this one as the best of the bunch. Food aside, the wait staff was pleasant and the establishment seemed clean.

Saw the sign seafood and steaks… we were excited… walked in to have a surly waitress great us. That did not bother me so much as the menu was mostly plain fare… not really much of a seafood selection considering it said SEAFOOD and steaks on their signage. Husband ordered the liver, bacon, and onions. He stated it was tough and thin. I ordered the cioppino… contained a lot of fish but was a big salty for my liking and used small imitation type shrimp instead of the normally large prawns we have become accustomed to living in the Northwest… ironically, my child’s chicken tenders and fries were really tasty…(wish I would have known that). For what we paid for dinner, this place was a huge disappointment considering the food was not worth the price due to its flavor(saltiness and shrimp), the toughness of the liver, with the exception of the child’s menu chicken and fries, which was well priced. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Perhaps our experience was out of the normal, but we weren’t impressed. Not only is the interior dated and the lights low enough to make even me(perfect vision) squint at the menu, the prices were higher than what we had expected, especially from the outside. We decided it wasn’t worth spending that much money on dinners all around, so we chose half salads instead. Two spinach and one shrimp louie. I had the shrimp louie and the shrimp where exceptionally salty, and I’m pretty certain, previously frozen. The spinach salad my mother got was salted prior to arriving at the table, and far too much! (My grandmother’s salad was less salty– but she also really, really loves salt, so…) The half salads where quite large, so while I didn’t see or try anything else on the menu, I imagine they have large portion sizes. Still, for what we paid(10+ each) it was rather disappointing and a bit like what you could find prepackaged at a grocery store deli.

While making our way to a sports bar for dinner, my partner spotted the signage for Paradise. «Steaks!» he exclaimed excitedly. In the very next moment, we abandoned the sports bar idea, did a U-turn and entered Paradise with giddy anticipation(there’s a pun in there somewhere). I was taken aback for a moment when we were warmly greeted by Asian staff. And then the smells confused me. For a long minute, I thought we had entered a Chinese restaurant by mistake. Even the adorably dated interior reminded me of a favorite Chinese restaurant from my childhood. The bewilderment was laid to rest when the menus were presented to us and we spotted the section of Steaks. Prime Rib. Ribeye. Sirloin. I glanced quickly at the other sections of the dinner menu and found veal, seafood and pasta. Wow, you can find almost anything in Paradise!(I think I just slapped on another pun). Partner and I ordered the prime rib steaks with the soup of the day(clam chowder!), baked potato and rice pilaf. Our beverages, soups and rolls came quickly. The rolls were warm and oh-so-fluffy and chewy. They were replenished promptly with lovely little dishes of whipped butter. Above average margaritas. When our steaks were served, we were a little surprised to find they were not your typical huge hunks of meat. But they were grilled PERFECTLY with just the right amount of seasoning. Our steaks were juicy and succulent. Every bite was melt-in-the-mouth good. Skip the rice pilaf; I found it quite underwhelming. The baked potato, though, hit the spot with its creaminess. We loved the staff at Paradise: they were attentive, polite, quick on their feet and always smiling. There were quite a few regulars, too, judging by how they were greeted with warm familiarity when they came in. Really glad we decided to pass on the sports bar. :)

Wonderful restaurant. Lyn was our waitress. She is charming, attentive, polite, friendly. There were two other waiters attending to us as well. All of them wore(clean) white shirts, and were very nice. They made us feel like VIPs. The place is very very clean, and nicely furnished. The food is expensive, but we got good value for our money. No regrets about the cost. I had the veal scallopini, and my wife and her friend had the halibut. We were all perfectly satisfied, and content. We will return. If you’ve read this far, beware of the place, «Krush», on the corner of Old Olympic Highway and Sequim Dungeoness. They sell very disappointing bar food. Don’t go there.

The food here is good quality, but nothing fancy. We found the service to be very attentive and reasonably fast. The restaurant tends to attract an older crowd.

I wasn’t impressed with the food here, because I am a bit of a food snob and prefer creatively presented foods with multicultural flair. However, if you are looking for basic, no-frills American food(a cup of Campbell’s cream soup and a half-sandwich on standard white bread with a smear of mayo, served with Lays’ potato chips), this might be the place for you. The price was a bit high for what we ordered, and the service was pretty slow considering the nature of the lunch we ate(mostly cold or steam-table items which I could have made faster myself at home), but we did come in at about 3pm, which is the dead hour for most lunch/dinner places. My husband said it reminded him of cafeteria food.
