Great place to do business… Friendly, helpful staff, and fair prices.

Be aware when you use your debit /credit card to buy gas at safeway they take out more money than your actual purchase amount. This has happened to us several times. Yesterday we purchased $ 54.00 worth of gas, when I checked my balance this morning, Safeway had charged my card $ 125.00! When I called my bank they said, it was Safeway who took out that amount and now I have to dispute this. It will be a week before I can get my money back. I called Safeway and was told, «well we usually put(the extra money) back in right away!» Why is safeway routinely dinging our card for $ 125.00, no matter how much gas we get? I was very unsatisfied with the lack of help I received when I called Safeway. They should only be able to charge your card for your purchase amount! The excuse«well we usually put it back in right away» doesn’t pass the stink test. I will never buy safeway gas again.

Let’s face it… The best part of any Safeway is there bakery. I don’t know how they do it, but year after year when we visit they over bake everything.

We’ve been in Sequim for almost a year… and Safeway is a favorite. The people are courteous, helpful, and friendly! The store is spotlessly clean. Minutes ago, I asked a girl for help finding an item — she stopped what she was doing and walked me across the store to the precise location. The checkout folks are equally great — always personable and speedy! Thank you!

Our family has shopped here for decades, well at least we used to. In recent years things seem to move around so fast that one cannot find things half the time. Very frustrating. The clerks agree, but say«It is all from corporate. They make the decisions.» Obviously they don’t have to shop there. After hunting up and down the aisles for waffle mix, to no avail, I was told«Oh, it is with the pancake syrup.» That makes no sense. Why not with the flour? Or the cake mixes? Or the pancake mixes? That is only one(of many) such experiences. They couldn’t wait to add hard liquor and took out many other things in the process… including Orowheat Wheat Berry Bread. I have been buying it for over 40 years… know others who like it. Safeway(fibbed) told me it was no longer made. Orowheat told me otherwise. They needed the space for more booze. Then they tore out the middle aisles to make room for more toothpaste and deodorant(etc). Like people go to Safeway for that stuff. Half their cracker and cookies disappeared during that shake up. The store is dimly lit, has narrow aisles and frankly no longer measures up. I was sorry to see this happen, but they have lost sight of the customer. Fine, there several are other choices. Wal-Mart has wide aisles, bright lights, and endless selection. Lots of things for those of us who would like sugar-free items. Sorry Safeway, but you have lost my trade. If I feel like going on a hiking trip to look for a product you may or may not be carrying, I might be back… but don’t hold your breath. I think your store sucks.

Recently remodeled so nice to shop here now. Of course there are not a lot of choices in downtown Sequim. But the aisles are spacious, lots of product choices, fruits and vegetables are very fresh. Very friendly staff

Yoohoo! It’s a giant Safeway. It has natural and organic food in the front! Right on! Variety beyond belief in everything. More dips and chips than one can count. Very friendly staff.

Popped in right after closing, so we turned around to leave(not meant as a gripe — I fully understand closing time). The barista came out of the store and caught up with us to tell us she could take care of us. Outstanding service, exceptionally friendly and helpful. Thank you so much!

Definitely need lessons in customer service here… from the deli to the cashier.

Safeway: why the hell do you demand that your customers obtain a ‘club’ card to get sale prices on your goods? Stop it already. Just give me the sale price without demanding any goddamn card or phone number. I keep forgetting which fake phone number I used for the last dummy account I set up, and I’m tired of making new ones. Despite my little rant, I can’t complain about this particular store. It’s a big, clean supermarket with reasonable prices(if you have the f**king club card!).

This is my all-time favorte Safeway I’ve ever been to. The workers are friendly and helpful and they have a good health food and organic selection of fresh fruit/veggies. The deli workers have been particularly friendly.
