Had bad luck finding a competent tailor in the area, until I came here. I had two pairs of pants hemmed and the waist taken in on a pair of jeans. The craftsmanship is excellent, the fit is great, and the adjustments make me look better.
Price was $ 20 for each alteration. This is a little pricier than what I paid in the Bay Area for hemming but much cheaper than what I paid for waist alterations (which is trickier than it sounds when your waist is much smaller than your hips). So it evened out.
The proprietor was very pleasant and kind. I’ll definitely bring more business his way.

Old Field Tailor Shop is located in the Pen & Pencil building on 25A in the heart of East Setauket (across the firehouse).
If you need something tailored and you want it done right, there is no place to go except Old Field Tailor Shop.
I ordered (3) custom made Italian shirts a few years ago from Rocco and are still in great shape today.
My wife had a dress that needed to be hemmed and the workmanship that was performed on her dress is a lost art.
Go in and see Rocco for your tailor needs, he’s the best!
