Fantastic! Sunny’s was my go-​to salon when I lived on Ft. Meade nearly 10 years ago. I’ll never forget how great I felt with my special up-​do for 8^th grade formal: D Now that I’m back in the area of course I had to go back. Despite being booked with a bridal party, they were happy to fit me in with a same day appointment. Leah carefully tamed my crazy eyebrows before a wash and cut. I asked for a lot of layers while keeping my length. It turned out even better than I wanted! Sunny’s is friendly, professional, talented, quick and reasonably priced. Highly recommend :)

I needed a trim badly and didn’t have much time. On a whim I made an apt here with Sunny after reading the positive Unilocal reviews. I’m so glad I did!

I showed her a few pics of what I wanted my hair to look like and afterwards I was so happy. My thin hair actually looked FULL and THICK and was full of bounce!
I wanted to do my review the day after getting the cut and style. Because at other salons I’ve walked out looking and feeling awesome. But when I get home, wash my hair and try and style myself — I would find spots where my hair was uneven, or it wouldn’t style the way the hair dresser did it, etc.
But not with this cut! It still has bounce and fullness and I am loving the style. I will recommend to all my friends!

So my hair was pretty tragic-​looking when I came in here. My job’s pretty busy, I’d been neglecting it, blah blah blah. It didn’t help that my last cut and color was at a mall salon that did a fairly horrible job. Point being, I had split ends and uneven color and inches of roots and the whole nine yards of «bad».
Kristen did an awesome job saving it. The color I got is exactly what I asked her for, and she did a great job of adding highlights that were just noticeable enough without being stark. Cut’s pretty too!
And the price was actually cheaper then the mall place that butchered my hair. Really recommend this salon!

this is a family owned business. Kristen is awesome at cutting, styling, and coloring. My hair comes out superb every time! my highlights came out great! she had a different technique to make it look more natural and subtle. can’t wait to try ombré with her!

Sunny is classic. She has been here for years and can work on all types of hair. I walk in and ask for a cut with chunky layers, texture and style. Wham, bam. Done. She makes me look good. I can’t do that with very many stylists. I don’t need to tell her which way my hair parts. She knows. She can feel my hair out. They also tag-​team it when blow drying so it’s super fast. I feel pampered. They even tag-​team it when they do permanent hair straightening (I like my waves and won’t do it to my hair) but that is why it’s cheaper than other places… because they’re faster. And if feels like my grandma’s house. Can’t beat it.
