ACME Markets

I always liked shopping here much better than the over crowded Shop Rite across the street. The people are nice and it’s a really nice store

Favorite ACME.
Yes, I live down the street from Wegmans.
Yes, I hate grocery shopping with a burning passion.
Yes, I have mini-​panic attacks whenever I step into the Cherry Hill Shop Rite.
Yes, I love this ACME.
It makes no sense, really. I grew up in this ACME (well, not literally, but you know what I mean.) I still recognize some of the employees from when I was 5 and they were buddies with my mom. I still understand the layout of the store (!), and everyone’s always friendly.
Just yesterday, I had the nicest chat in the salad dressings aisle with one of the employees.
And yes, Wegmans has salad dressing and nice employees, too, but it’s just not… homey.
So, yes, I hate shopping for food. But, as a human, some things must be done. This is a good place for such a trip.

This is a pretty good Acme. They have a really nice selection of hot food, the bakery isn’t bad, and the produce section is good. Prices are pretty standard for a grocery store. When the Shoprite across the street came in, it was kicking Acme’s butt. They did a really nice job catching up, though. Unfortunately, I like the Shoprite better.
