After reading some of the bad reviews I was hesitant on going, however tonight I was pleasantly surprised. The service was good and servers were pleasant and friendly. The entrée’s were well prepared and tasty. If you are a dessert eater, I would recommend the lemon-cello parfait as it was very enjoyable. I will certainly go back for a second time soon.

Service was horrible. We were one of 3 tables in the restaurant. Took 5 minutes to be seated, and had to ask the server to open our bottle of wine. Reason why it’s getting 2 stars is bc the food was okay. Nothing I couldn’t make at home. Service was so slow. I had to ask the server to box dinners and for the check. Needless to say, I won’t be coming again.

4 pieces of bread for 5 people, then when we asked for more bread a basket of 3 pieces came out. Where were the beets in the beet salad? …2 beets were hidden at the bottom. I have been here before and it was good, but something changed. Service was good. But, small portions and overpriced. Friday night dinner service and the restaurant was empty.

Once again the people of Washington Township really don’t know what real Italian food should taste like. Went there this evening for the 1st and last time after attending church the wait staff was excellent and accommodating but the food was over priced and insufficient in quantity. We started off with a seafood appetizer which was the best part of the meal and went on to order veal parm with a side of pasta. The pasta sauce was tasteless and the veal cutlet was sitting in a pool of watery tomato sauce creating a soggy mess. My wife ordered the veal Sorrento which was again tasteless and very small portion. We’ve had better meals at chain restaurants. Washington Township you really want good and plentiful food then go to A & S Pizza in the old bottino shopping center. PS — when you walked into Casa Vecchia you were not greeted with any aroma coming from the kitchen and for a Saturday night at 6 p.m. the place was virtually empty. Sorry to say we will never be back!!!

My husband and I went last week for the first time ! Everything was excellent! From the moment we walked in, Pauly was our waiter, very attentive. We were told the specials including apps right away, hubby got the crab cakes, 2 very larges, with shrimp avocado arugula and honey mustard glaze. It was absolutely amazing! I hadn’t had a crab cake in probably 35 years, Pauly got me to try it! Awesome ! Totally crab no fillers I would get it again as a meal ! We had bread, bruschetta and plenty of water ! Hubby ordered a special, Veal Chop stuffed with fontina cheese and something else oh I forget but he said absolutely Excellent! Perfect ! And the veggies and potatoes grilled to perfection. I ordered chicken Alfredo which was not on the menu, Melt in my mouth chicken so tender lightly breaded covered in fontina cheese ! The best I’ve Ever had !! I took half of it home, very large portion. I ordered fresh cannoli to take home, Delicious! I keep saying it was Excellent but it Really Was ! Just perfect ! We will go back, soon I hope !

Tried this establishment last night for the first and last time. The wait staff were extremely nice and accommodating however hilariously disorganized. There where literally six tables of patrons and three wait staff. It was clear they do not assign tables and try to work the room as a unit. We where given refused bread three times, our water glasses were being refilled without haven even been drank from yet but never told the specials until asked. The poor gentleman waiter was so frazzled he was forgetting everything and dropping dishes. The food more importantly, is terribly mediocre and extremely overpriced. My husband and I were so confused when our«Authentic Italian» cuisine arrived at out table smelling like Chinese food. After much sniffing, tasting and speculating we think it may be the side vegetables that they must put in some type of poor quality oil. We will not be returning to dine her again, however every time we drive by we will giggle and that type of memory is priceless.

Our server was great, friendly, happy, and attentive without being overbearing. The décor is romantic and fresh. The food was average at best. We started our dining experience with oil stained menus. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer. The sauce tasted homemade, but the calamari didn’t. The flavor was good, but needed something like hot peppers to add a little spice and flavor to mix well with the sauce. I ordered the shrimp scampi for dinner. The dish was bland and the shrimp overcooked. My wife ordered the Penne Amalfi. It was bland, but OK. Expected more flavor. The restaurant was nearly empty on a Saturday night, a sign there’s a problem. It is a BYOB and there is a liquor store right next door if you forget to bring from home. My wife saw an employee bringing in an Oreo cake in a ShopRite bag. Oreo cake was on the menu. There is huge potential with this restaurant. It has a great staff and a great atmosphere. It needs a Gordon Ramsey Kitchen Nightmares intervention to improve the quality of food and it could be a real neighborhood hot spot.

Just went here tonight with a big group of friends. Our server was awesome with making recommendations on apps and salads for the large group. I loved the fact that they even gave complimentary bruschetta. We ordered calamari and tomato and mozzarella caprese as apps for the table. The calamari was delicious! Our server told us the salads were big enough to split so most of us split a salad. The chef even split them onto two plates when they were served which was great. I had the salmon which was probably the best I’ve had in a while and my husband had a chicken dish(I can’t remember the name). The table split 4 desserts and no one left hungry. Can’t wait to come back again.

What a joke. Our first time here was fantastic so I was eager to go back and give it another shot. The risotto was not rich and filling like our first time two or three weeks ago, it just tastes like chicken broth. And for $ 42, it was one of the smallest meals I’ve ever purchased. The soup was a joke at $ 6. The $ 10 salad was mostly lettuce. Last time we also got bread with our meal. The prices went up and yet the portions are downsized and the quality is a fraction of what it was last time. Unreal, we won’t be back and shame on Casa Vechia, they should be embarrassed.

Why go over the bridge when you have fine Italian dining in our back yard. I’ve had almost everything on the menu and I am NEVER disappointed. I love this family owned and operated restaurant

First time going there last night. Service and food were very good. The calamari was amazing. The servers were very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. I thought the price was average with the other restaurants but it was well worth it. You will not be hungry after you leave!

Stopped for Sunday night dinner April 126:30pm. Walk in, place is crowded… good sign. However, after 3 – 4 minutes standing up front, a hostess/server? came out of back and informed us that the restaurant is closed for a private function. OK thats fine, but would it kill you to put a sign on the door saying so???

Casa Vecchia does not disappoint. We have tried this place on two different occasions, once on a Friday night and once on a Saturday night. On both nights the restaurant was very busy and both visits were exceptional. To start the hostess and wait staff are extremely attentive! George and Liz went out of their way to make sure we did not want for anything. Furthermore, the owner Canio brings a personal touch visiting with every table to make sure everything from starters to dessert are delicious. As a matter of fact, when we returned the second time he greeted us at the door and made us feel like family, despite the busy restaurant. Now let’s address the food, which is delicious. The mussels are a must! They are clean and plentiful and the Marinara is flavorful. On both visits my hubby got the Veal Sorrento and he never gets the same thing twice but hasn’t stopped raving about it. I got the Fusilli with eggplant, which is homemade and melts in your mouth and on the second visit got the lobster ravioli which comes with a healthy portion of shrimp and scallops! We brought our 3 and 5 yr old and both devoured the penne. I think it would help to mention as someone who was taught by her Italian Nonna to make Marinara and does not order pasta out because I am such a gravy snob, I was pleasantly surprised by Vecchia’s! Welcome to Twp! We are lucky to have a nice byob that delivers good portions for a decent price.

Everything about this place was great. The food, atmosphere, and service was very good. My wife had the Lobster Ravioli and I had the Chicken Rollatiini. Both were excellent. The callimari was okay. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is I feel the menu is very limited. I wish they offered more. With that being said I will definitely return!

Wife and I stopped in to check out Vecchia’s, situated where Guillermo’s used to be(to level-set this review, Guillermo’s would get one or two stars from me). At Vecchia’s, we ordered antipasto, bottled water, salads, and entrees. The menu was not adventurous, but reliable staples that don’t disappoint. The food was very flavorful, and we both enjoyed our meal very much. The desserts and coffee were so-so. The interior is nice but sparse(not spacious), and the wait staff were pleasant and friendly. We received attention from who I assumed were the manager and the owner, which reminded me of dining in Europe as a regular guest. We had a very nice visit and meal, and will return.

I really wanted to like this place, unfortunately I did not have a good experience. We were a table of 6 with reservations. It took a good 20 min to be seated. Once seated we were immediately handed menus. We sat for 5 – 10 min before our wine was opened. We had to ask for it. We were left alone after that for another 15 min. No bread, no water, nothing. We had to ask for water and needed to exchange 2 dirty glasses. After finally giving our orders, we did not have to wait too long for apps and salads. The service was spotty but waiter nice enough. The menu is of course Italian and very pricey.(which we don’t mind if you get what you pay for) but unfortunately in this case the food was mediocre and the price tag hefty. The veal dish I had was meager and the presentation not great. The veal was tender but it seemed as if it may have been sitting too long under a hot light. And mashed potatoes??? They were served with everyone’s dishes. It was strange. The even stranger part was that one of us ordered a special of veal osso bucco, and then after our salads were cleared the waiter informed us they were out. Seemed that should have been known before that moment. Other dishes included an assortment of seafood, pastas with many different sauces, a couple of veal dishes, lots of chicken dishes and expensive salads! Anyway, like I said, if the price tag wasn’t so hefty, I could excuse some of the errors but 6 of us… without alcohol… .its byob… was $ 200. They even included a 20% tip for themselves… how nice :(Good thing we looked carefully at the check because our waiter didn’t mention this. Since it is close by and it has only been opened 2 weeks, I may give another try. Keep ya posted!
