Condensed version: Adorable shop, friendly staff, great candy, and a Unilocal deal to boot. Non-condensed version: The store itself is really cute and inviting, with fancy chocolates up front and bulk bins of candy along the side walls. There’s a room in the back where they host children’s parties which is an adorable idea. The bulk bins are mostly pre-bagged with jelly beans and m&m’s being loose to mix and match. I grabbed a bag full of gummi bears and headed to the register to grab some chocolates. I had purchased a Unilocal deal and the cashier was a little confused as to how to ring it up, and I actually felt bad using it. She kept apologizing to me for not knowing how to enter it in and eventually she just rung up my total and subtracted the $ 10 and charged me that, saying she’d talk to her manager later about how to ring it up correctly. I don’t know where they got those gummi bears but they were the best gummi bears I’ve ever eaten. They were very soft and fresh and the each flavor was prominent, instead of just a sugary taste. The filled chocolates I bought were a bit of a let down, I got a champagne ganache filled and an amaretto ganache filled. Unfortunately they tasted the same. Don’t get me wrong, they were still good, just didn’t taste like champagne or amaretto. I also bought a few salted chocolate covered caramels which were otherworldly and stayed soft and fresh even after almost a week in the fridge. Definitely don’t pass up the salted chocolate covered caramels if you go.
