In the last month this«diner» has been going down hill with the speed of an avalanche. There have been several female employees quit all because of management and most of the cooks don’t know a word of English. As for the food, you might as well pick something from the dumpster out back because it will have more flavor. I truly feel sorry for the few Americans that work there, they are treated like crap compared to the illegals the owner seems to prefer. It gets one star because I have to give it a rating but it’s not worth it.

Waited over ½ hour for food. Panini wasn’t grilled or pressed. Won’t be back for a while.

They did a nice job with this place honoring the tradition of the sandwich man. I like the classic diner style seats and open kitchen. Good food, good portions, not bad prices.

Food is good. Service could be better. On multiple trips it just seems they forget your requests leaving you hanging. Even when not overly busy.

Visited this place last night(Monday 4⁄11). Went on a friends recommendation who has been going there for years, since it was called Sandwich Man or something. The place was clearly understaffed on the service side. I saw four guys in the kitchen, but no one helping the two waitresses(who I must say did a great job of holding their own while the manager/owner sat down and watched). I happen to have some restaurant management experience and when I noticed my staff was in a bind it was up to me as the manager to step in and lend a hand. After all, it falls on the manager to staff the place accordingly to begin with. That was his first mistake. I actually saw him sit and eat his own dinner while the staff scrambled to get everyone’s food out, which wasn’t as great as I had hoped. My sandwich was sloppy and not really hot. Maybe if the manager got off his tail and helped the servers I would have gotten a warm sandwich. Or maybe the four stooges in the kitchen just don’t know what they’re doing. All we could hear was Spanish conversations coming out of there. The manager even took part in what seemed like joking and laughing that the waitstaff was having such a hard time. So, clearly he’s not the owner. He should probably be fired. I couldn’t help but strike up a conversation with some other customers. They had the same feelings as I just described. Apparently the usual cook wasn’t in, but still I probably will not be going back. Kudos to the girls for keeping everyone happy on what seemed to be a stressful night. Maybe they should be managing the 67 Diner.

Sorry for the 3 stars… I generally love this place, but there have been a few times more recently that I have not been pleased with the food. About a couple of months ago I went there because I had a craving for fried calamari. I went in and ordered and waited. It took way longer than it should have been, but I was patient. I see the owner go to where they pick up the good. I see him look at an order that is ready for pick up and then hear him to, «Don’t over do it!» I assumed he meant not to put too much food in the container. So I finally get my food and go home. I open the container and it’s my WAYOVERCOOKED fried calamari«chips!» That’s how over cooked they were. I ended up calling and told the waitress who picked up the phone to let them know it was over done and that I wasn’t coming back to show them ‘Cuz I was starving. Hopefully she told them. Sooooo bad that the cook even let that go and even more so that the owner knew they were over cooked and STILL let it go. VERYBADBUSINESS. At least the sauce was good.

We have only been here for breakfast. Food is good, service is quick and friendly, and it is marginally less expensive than a few other local diners. We’ve always had a great experience with the food and service, even during busy weekend mornings.

The staff are nice and friendly and they always remember us and greet us. They have an excellent Belgian waffle they keep the waffle iron on until 2PM so as long as it’s before 2, you can always get a great waffle. You can also ask for things that are not directly on the menu like a breakfast wrap, and they’ll make it to perfection. It’s also priced very well for the area

Service was ok, girl at front was nice. Asked for crispy bacon, received some limp & greasy flavorless slabs of hog. The orange juice was watered down or some type of mix. Switched to coffee and it was pretty good. The rest of the breakfast was ok, but just flavorless filler. The thing I don’t get about this diner is the fact that it is under new ownership but it is still living off of the glory of the old restaurant that used to be in its place. The menu and awning above the kitchen says something like this, «67 Diner, the original location of the sandwich man, since 19something.» Come on, you are a new owner, start something new and brilliant with your own mind and use quality ingredients. I’m scared to know what else was also kept from the old restaurant.

Added star for effort. The kids had a delay because it was too cold out?!? So my son and I stopped in here, hesitantly, for a quick breakfast. Food came out fast, hot and was so much better than in the past. They accommodated us being in a rush, and overall have us a great experience! Still a little pricey, but works in a rush!

I thought breakfast was great! The food was cooked good and our waitress was at attentive and super friendly. Will have to try for dinner one day. Prices seemed reasonable too. Dinner– first time and not so eager to go back. Service was super slow and lacking. It was rough. It’s the weekend– where are the desserts! Let’s be prepared huh? I miss good service. People were sending back food. It wasn’t busy! Have no clue.

Had breakfast here with a coworker. Both of us had the eggs w/meat. Both our eggs came out excellent. I had bacon(extra crispy and thick) and my coworker swears by the sausage(big links). Great coffee by diner standards.

Not happy at all. Ordered the chicken soulvakj(a diner staple) the chicken was way too chewy. The dish itself was 80% onions. Didn’t complain because I am a waitress, at a very successful restaurant but will not return.

Had lunch here today. Great service, and great food. The server was very nice and efficient. I ordered the grilled chicken salad with feta cheese instead of blue cheese. It was fresh and a nice balance of ingredients. I will definitely come back and bring friends.
