Brand new café opened in Seymour, IN. Today is their first Saturday open. They are in the old Tapitio place on 2nd St. downtown. They serve breakfast, sandwiches and dinner. I am told everything is homemade. Also found out they use less salt. You can add more if you like. I had the fried white fish and it was great. Lightly breaded and gently fried. The tartar sauce is out of this world good. If you ask about the ingredients you will find out only that it is a family secret. I also had the french fries and they were good, not overly salted. I also had the green beans with bacon and it was done just right, not too seasoned. Jeff had the hamberger and fries and it was good also. The staff is friendly. One of the managers came by and we talked and she was friendly too. The décor is blue plates on the walls, simple, like a café. The menu is extensive with much variety. They are open 7am-2pm Mon and Tues. 7am-8pm Wed.-Sun. They have specialties and Senior Meals. You can carry-out if you like. They also do catering. This Mother’s Day they will have a buffett from 10am-3pm May 12. 15. 95/person, 13.95 for Seniors, and 9.95 for children. Under 6 are free. Again, this is Mother’s Day.
