We drop off our clothes weekly and for the past year we always got our clothes the following day. The owners are very responsive. Their drop off service at $ 0.99 lb is such a time saver. As a laundromat for your everyday laundry needs this is the go to place for the seymour area

Was staying locally & needed to wash clothes, Was looking on Unilocal for a local laundry & came across The Washing Machine of Seymour, Based on the 3÷10÷2015 review by Joe A. decided to try the place & it suited me just fine. Machines clean & in working order. The place itself was clean & everything went smoothly as it should in a laundromat. Parking is ample & there’s an Auto Zone & Chinese restaurant in the same plaza. Might return but based on the 1÷31÷15 review by Joseph L. next time I might just try Village Fabric Care. If true it’s horrible & callous that the owner of The Washing Machine In Seymour would not assist an individual in a wheelchair. UPDATE: 06÷26÷15−− Re: Establishment’s alleged mistreatment of disabled individual. A representative of The Washing Machine in Seymour wrote to me via Unilocal & first of all thanked me for my review & stated «However, we are sad to hear you wouldn’t come back because of a previews review. Our business does not tolerate any kind of discrimination and we would never discriminate against anyone». In all fairness I feel I needed to let The Washing Machine of Seymour comments be published here. Note: I do not personally know either Joseph L. nor the management/owner of The Washing Machine of Seymour.

Very nice place — I had to find a laundromat in the area since my washing machine broke. This place fit the bill and then some. The place was exceptionally clean, the desk attendant was very pleasant, and the machines work great. I don’t have use for a laundromat that often, but I would definitely go back here.

In summer 2014 I discontinued patronizing this Laundromat because the owner said my requests(once a week) to open the store entrance door for me was«an inconvenience or interruption» to his work. I use a powerchair(electric motorized wheelchair) to bring my clothes to him for service and am a person with disabilities who cannot open doors for myself. It’s impossible with one hand to simultaneously pull open a door and drive your mobility machine. Since then I have been welcome up the road a bit at Village Fabric Care(Klarides Shopping Center), where the service is 5 Star and at lower prices.
