Went there on a Friday night and we were the only people in the restaurant. Another couple showed up but left after they were not greeted for over ten minutes. This was especially disappointing because the restaurant owner was yelling at the sole employee working the front for not answering the phone at the same time the patrons were patiently waiting. The food was really very good aside from the incredibly slow service. I’ll try it again at some point, maybe for lunch.

Don’t waste your time and money. Terrible service, food and location. I went there this weekend for an event and the food was gone within few minutes because the restaurant did not provide the appropriate quantity. Once asked, the owner was arrogant. No trash removal, bad food quality, not enough plates to serve and the list goes on… I wish there is a zero star. This place does not deserve a single star. DONOTGOTHERE otherwise you will find yourself sick and calling the doctor the next day

Hello, We had a group booking for 100+ people and we were charged per person. The experience was poor and we all felt cheated. There was not enough food for even half the people. Most of us decided to go out and eat at Mc’Donald. The owner was extremely rude and unprofessional. Avoid like the plague Thanks! Rahul

This place is awesome! So flavorful and delicious. Believe it or not, the leftovers are even better the next day. The waiters were very helpful in suggesting food as well as spice levels. Everyone was very attentive and kind. I don’t know why this restaurant is not packed every night. It should be! I will definitely be back.

They have very good food. I think they are still working out some customer service issues however they are very friendly and the food is worth returning for.

So excited to have a good Indian food option in Minneapolis! We’re picky with Indian food(my husband is Indian and a great cook!) but we’ve had very good food at this restaurant. The palak paneer is as good as anything I’ve had in India! Dosa is fresh and good. A Saturday buffet offered a nice selection with fresh naan. Because they make the food fresh, it can take a while to get your dinner, but it’s worth the wait. If you like authentic Indian food, you must frequent this restaurant! This is what all Indian restaurants should strive for!

It was better when it was Mumbai Handi. We went there for a lunch buffet this Saturday. Some of the food(that most ppl eat) was sitting out too long: dried idlis and dried up rice. The naan didn’t come fast enough. Their price tag for 2 adults and 2 children(one 2 year old and the other 10 year old). The total was $ 55.00. Doesn’t that seem a little too pricey? Comparing it to Bombay Bistro and Surabhi the food is not worth the money.

Great place, great authentic food. Need more places like these in Shakopee. The staff is not the best with English but they’re very friendly nonetheless. Recommended Indian food in Minnesota, from a Floridian!

Buffet has only got better since it opened first and the variety of food for Vegetarians is quote refreshing. This is one of the nice restaurants in the suburbs and the price is reasonable too. Definitely recommend to try the dosa — really authentic and the sambar tastes really good. Being close to work I go there quite often and even the chats are pretty nice.

We got the dinner for two. The food was excellent and plentiful. There was both a meat or meatless option. The naan is fantastic! Give the Indian beer a try too– delicious!

Unlimited Dosas for 11bucks!!! Now, that’s a freaking awesome deal for Dosa fans like me. :D It’s a limited time offer on Saturday nights. So, don’t blame me if you didn’t make it in time. I had Ghee Roast + Mysore Masala Dosa + Paper Dosa.(Oh yeah. I’ve a big appetite and am proud of it). They were all humongous and comes with great tasting coconut chutney and sambar. The owners are friendly and engage you in a conversation. My friend had high hopes to get a Haywards 5000, but the owner said… next time. This place as such is a new and doesn’t have a dedicated entrance and is within a lodging complex. They have a big room to the other side of the normal dining area to fit a huge group of customers. I’m reserving a star coz I haven’t tried any other of their A la Catre dishes. I’ll go their again and will edit my review.

Visited this place with friends for Easter lunch and was amazed that they could arrange a family table for 20 persons and way the welcomed and complimentary mango juice was all good… even though we have only few items in buffet they tasted good and had a good time at this place… will definitely visit again if I visit Minneapolis …

Awesome food. Been to a lot of other Indian restaurants in the cities and this is one of my favorites. We had the Chicken Mkhani and the Goat Handi. Delish.

We stopped in today around 1:00pm to try the Lunch Buffet. It’s a small buffet with a small selection of their menu. The flavor of the food was very good, but the food was cold. Barely lukewarm. About 1⁄3 of the serving trays were close to empty, and looked as though they hadn’t been filled for a while. Maybe our timing was bad, but they had another 1 ½hrs to go for lunch so we though the food would still be hot and fresh. Hence the reason for the 3 stars. Like I mentioned above the flavors were very good, and the hostess was very friendly and attentive, so we’ll definitely give them another chance in the near future. They’ve just recently opened so hopefully these are just growing pains.

The food is really good but they are having some issues that they need to move past, and it will take some time. The first time I went there I got takeout but they got the order wrong. It was ok because what they gave me was something really good :-) They are just having issues like getting order time right, and making sure to make the right things, they are just really new and getting started.

Had the opportunity to try this place for dinner last night and it was a treat. Wonderful to get an Indian restaurant in Shakopee. The place just opened this month and they are already off to a good start. The menu is quite extensive, but I had naan and Chicken tikka masala. The entire meal was excellent. I would highly recommend trying this place and I’m sure I’ll be returning soon.

A group of 5 of us went here for lunch on a Friday at 11:45. They had a lunch buffet available so we all opted for that. There were probably 8 options for entrees plus two rices and a sweet dessert ball thing. I took a little of each so I could try everything. I liked most of it, and went up for seconds. Especially liked the chicken tikka marsala and the del makhani. The naan was fresh and delicious. Everything was spiced well. The food could have been hotter, but there was food replaced while we were there, so I’m certain all of it was kept fresh. To be fair, I’ve only tried Indian food once before, but of my group, three had spent extended time in India, and they were also happy with the lunch. Staff was kind and attentive. It would have been nice to have a carafe of water at the table, considering we were eating spicy food. I will go back to try again, but I wanted to get this review in the books, as it is a new restaurant(opened Jan 1) and I’d like it to stay around! Couple of notes: — Lunch buffet was $ 9.99 — Restaurant is inside the hotel — They have a salad bar, but I didn’t try it out
