This place should be a new remodeled marketplace instead it’s a run down well use poor excuse for a grocery store in a very busy area that’s pulling in lots of money. HELLO has the owner ever been to KROGERS the biggest grocer in USA take a few tips. Time to get with it and

I went down to Cub Foods tonight around 1 a.m. The entire dairy aisle was roped off and there were no associates around to help me. I took it upon myself to enter the aisle with my cart to grab some eggs and sour cream. I was approached by an employee at the end of the aisle who asked me what I thought I was doing? I told him I was grabbing some groceries. He asked me if I knew how to read. Long story short ten minutes later I was being kicked out of the grocery store by the Shakopee Police Department. I’m being charged with destruction of property for the marks that my cart left on the wet floor. Seriously. Go somewhere where they appreciate your business.

Got in contact with cub foods manager Paul. He was very polite and professional. He assured me the proper actions were being taken and I wasn’t being charged with destruction of property. I’m chalking this one up to some rude employees on a power trip. I would like to continue shopping there so we’ll see how it goes. Updates coming soon…

I love the gas money! The people who work there are friendly and sooo helpful! Mary and a co-​worker went out of their way to find a product I wanted… and they found it :)
I have to agree that the produce is a problem. I look very carefully at the bags of potatoes, onions and the fruit before I buy it. But I do end up with a lot of the fruit being moldy. Same for potatoes and onions. Otherwise, I like shopping at Cub.

Cashier squashed my bread, I was overcharged. Manager was arrogant and disrespectful as well as cashier. Walmart is better.

Im sorry, but even for the price, the produce is TERRIBLE… not to mention they FROWN upon you for using coupons…10 powerades for 10 bux? umm, sir, you and your wife cant both get this, you clearly live together… REALLY? Youre a corporation… not Mom and Pop…
The FINAL straw was when they were the CORPORATE sponsor for the ice castle in EP and yet had NO discount coupons… literally said they were out… how is that possible?
Bakery and deli food is still good and the location is fair…
However, dont go to the liquor store, they bullied the old tenant out by artificially raising the rent so the local owner couldnt compete with them… go to Crossroads Liquor instead…

The produce is terrible. I have wasted a lot of money on the fruit and veggies. The avocados are by far the worst!

Very Expensive and crowded. Do yourself a favor and go to the one stop shop Wallmart or Sam’s club.

I come here often when my son have swim practice @ Shakopee’s Middle School. In most cases, it will be early in the morning on the weekends. Hence I am not usually coherent and the smartest person in the world (don’t answer that).
In other words, I don’t usually shop here on a regular basis. I only come to here for their fresh donuts and pastries.
Yes, I am sure I can do better for bake goods but I am a ‘foreigner’ in the strange land of Shakopee, MN. Beggars should not be choosy. Needless to say, judging how fat I am, I approve this place.

The organic section always has expired items. The restrooms are always disgusting and not properly cleaned… I’ve even seen feces on the walls. The produce is horrible, some items have mold and are severely rotten. The employees are very friendly and that’s the only reason I gave it one star

We had a busy day, so ran into Cub for some fast food. I purchased Chicken from the deli’s hot food bar. $ 19 worth and it was hard & dried out. My mistake for purchasing it after 9 PM, however why would Cub still be trying to sell chicken that sat all day. It was $ 6.99 per pound, so doubt it was marked down.

Great grocery store. The meat selection is sometimes better than dedicated butchers. They seem to run out of hot peppers and some of the more exotic produce, but the fact that they have some of the exotic items at all in Shakopee is a blessing.

I just moved to Shakopee and I love this Cub. It’s the best Cub I’ve been to. The employees there are SO helpful and nice. The clerks at the registers are always pulling out coupons and applying them to my purchase and I don’t even ask. If there’s a «buy 1 get 1 free» they tell me to go grab one or they can call someone to get one for me. I’ve been to many other Cubs locally and none of these Cubs do that EVER. I’ve saved $ 40 in a transaction before from their service and I have to say it’s really, really nice! Oh in regards to the produce from another reviewer, I actually felt like the produce was better here too. But maybe that’s bc the produce is better this year in general than it was last year. But all in all, great service here at your Cub store… thanks for saving me all those bucks!

Convenient to ALL of Shakopee — because it is the only one! I love getting the gas coupons during each visit. The shelves are always stocked. And they have had almost everything I have been looking for. The cashiers are friendly. The only thing I would say that I HATE is the produce is always (always) horrible!

Cub Foods has pretty much the monopoly on American groceries in the town of Shakopee, MN, but it does a great job of offering a variety of foods for every family. (God this sounds like a commercial but I promise it isn’t!)
First of all, the place is massive. It feels like a cross between a supermarket and a warehouse. They have everything from Mexican groceries, gourmet food, bulk/​organic foods and Velveeta.
My cooking gets pretty adventuresome for this part of town, but I must say Cub Foods has pretty much everything you need. (Tip: If you can’t get the hard-​core Asian groceries, try the Thai/​Vietnamese grocery in the strip mall just north of Cubs).
