Chinese restaurants in small towns are always a hit-​miss proposition, but Golden Chopsticks is a hit option in a town where variety is limited. I happened upon GC when I drove into town and their OPEN sign was still lit at 10:00 pm. I ordered the Vegetable and Bean Curd soup which was understated but wonderful. Their noodle and poultry dishes are also decent given that they have to cook for a less refined palate. The restaurant is clean (I’ve only had take-​away), and the service is very friendly, so don’t let the empty seats fool you. I’ve gathered they pack them in during their lengthy lunch and dinner buffet hours. For a region where you expect less for a ‘Chinese Restaurant’ they exceed the competition.

For the price you can’t beat this place. Under six bucks for lunch and under eight for dinner. The food is good it’s not the best but for the price and the quality it’s a steal.
