David’s business is built on customer service. David does a skillful job with all the optician related stuff and he also does a magnificent job in trying to get to know his customers. David will talk about any topic that you might be interested in exploring while expertly performing his duties. Sharon Optical does not stock Luxottica Group, S.p.A. frames due to David’s opposition to some of Luxottica’s business practices but he will order frames from the brands that Luxottica owns, if you’d like; he’ll explain to you, in detail, the mehodology behind his reasoning and, in my opinion, he’s right. Sharon Optical also sells contact lenses. I highly recommend Sharon Optical.

I have been an eyeglass wearer since at least ten years old. Well, I’m 51 now, and somewhere along the way I became extremely nearsighted and vain. I live in Delray Beach, Fl now seven months a year and my hometown of Sharon five months a year. After being fitted at a fancy (read expensive) optometrist/​optical store on East Atlantic, in Delray Beach, my second attempt on my very pricey glasses turned into «cataracts» after six months. Apparently they put an inexpensive coating on a very expensive lense. I plead my case to the manufacturer who came up to bat, though it was not their fault, and they gave me a voucher for a new set of expensive lenses which I gave to Dave to dispense. For the most part I found out later, he was made whole, but me? GRAND SLAM! David hooked me up with my new Shamir Autograph III® lenses with rizal® in a handsome Flexon frame. Six months later, no scratches, look brand new.
I can’t say enough about David’s professionalism right here in our small town. Thank you so much for being here for me, when the «fancy pants» guys dropped the ball!

Sharon Optical is Sharon’s unofficial philosophe-​style French intellectual salon. Everyone comes in to get glasses, lenses, and catch up on local gossip and discuss the great issues of the day. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. David spends as long as it takes to find the perfect thing for each customer, and makes you feel like you’re the only person in the world when he’s talking to you. His skill and precision are remarkable, especially after I went elsewhere and was disappointed at the casual approach to quality.
I currently drive over an hour each way to return here for glasses and contacts, and it’s worth every minute. He regularly goes above and beyond the call of duty, such as when someone stepped on my glasses and I needed an emergency pair. I would recommend him to anyone, especially if they have special needs regarding fit or lens issues.

If you want your glasses done right and on time, this is the place for you. The selection was great and the service fantastic. David Hazell is a real pro!
