My running buddy told me about this goat cheese farm in Sharpsburg for a trip that we were taking nearby. We went over on a Sunday. They were closed and we stopped to look at the goats, they were cute. The owner Alan walked out and my wife went up to him to say hello. Before we knew it, he opened the shop, gave us and sold us some of the best, no THEBEST goat cheese we had ever tasted. The camembert was delicious. We had a packet on the way home with some fresh bread. GOGOGO and bring your kids. The grounds are magical and there are 150 female goats are all pregnant now. Kids will be happening this spring. They all live in a stone barn and are milked twice a day. Alan is charming and the farm is a special place to visit even if you are not up for the cheese. We stayed at the Hillbrook Inn, which made a perfect pairing.
