I chaperoned a STEM field trip here, and the motion presentation had a lot of potential. The concept is great, and the price was very reasonable. The problem is the information presented was not 100% accurate, and the facilitator unconsciously sent 2 damaging messages to the kids. She started by saying that the science part was«not really fun» and that after that part they could go have fun playing laser tag, etc. Also, during the experiment, she told the kids that she never knew how to put race tracks together as a kid because she’s not a boy. She suggested the groups let the boys do that part. Come to this place for fun, but if you are trying to give your kids an educational experience, I’d find another option.

I would like to give this place a good review but I cannot. I had my daughter’s birthday party there and will never make that mistake again. The ladies in the café we super helpful and nice but the manager was inconsiderate and rude. My wife has special dietary needs(diabetic) and he refused us to bring in food for her since everything they offered was unhealthy. He would not let me enter with food for her and there was a line that had formed behind me so I gave in as to not hold people up. After spending the $ we did you would have thought a salad wouldn’t have caused such a fuss. I haven’t been back nor have I allowed my kids to return. I won’t ever spend my $ there again.

The kids seem to enjoy it, but it is pricier than the average skate rink. I took my son there and had my 3-yr old daughter along. I wasn’t planning on us staying, but she was so excited to be somewhere there was a playground, so I bought the playground package for her. Upon her entering the playground, some young employee says to me «Uh, sir… Does your daughter have socks?» I thought it was kinda weird that she asked considering that there was another girl right next to her in the playground who was barefoot. So I pause and ask, «Well, do you SELL socks?» She snaps«Yes… But up at the front.» I somehow have to coax my daughter out of the innards of the playground, promising her that we’ll come back after getting socks. Meanwhile, I’m seeing kids all around her with bare feet. I drag her to the front and tell the boy I need socks for her. He tells me they’re out of socks! Great! Guess I will get a refund if she can’t use the playground. So I drive to Peachtree City to the Shenanigans(they have a big playground in the back of the store where kids can play with a $ 10 purchase or else just $ 5 per kid, plus no one busting my chops about socks. Summertime, hello! Plus, it’s not like she’s using skates. Besides, when it comes to skating, you’re much better off driving to Smyrna and going to Sparkles. They staff is a lot friendlier there, and their place doesn’t have that«too crowded» feeling even when they’re are a lot of people.

Possibly the best roller skating rink I’ve been in since somehow getting old enough to have kids and go skating again! I’m so excited about this new skating center, and even happier now that I’ve visited 2 times. Great staff — even better facility. The laser tag, kids play center, and of course the rink are 5 stars. So…it’s 2012 and I have 4 kids now! A far cry 1982 when I was 11! Starlite Family Fun Center is my new«go to» entertainment option for the kids that gets them some exercise, doesn’t break the bank, and in general is just non-stop fun. Highly recommend. If you haven’t been yet — don’t wait!
