Shasta Lake Floors

Shasta Lake Floors put $ 10k of carpet in my house two years ago. Let’s just say every time I have my carpet cleaned the cleaner is appalled at the installation job! Worst installation job ever. Makes me sick as that was a HUGE investment.
The owner will take NO responsibility! Says it’s the carpet & will comeback to fix it at $ 150.00 per room! Funny we didn’t have any problems when Town & Country Interiors installed our first carpet 15 years ago.
Also interesting my friend put carpet in her house which she purchased from Lowe’s. She said when her carpet stretched, Lowe’s came back & fixed it free of charge.
I implore you DO NOT use Shasta Lake Floors! You will be sorry…

Shasta Lake Floors has won the best of Redding several times over the last few years. We found some flooring we liked so we had Johnny come out and give us a bid. During the bidding process I met with Johnny and we talked about the insulation of the wood laminate flooring. I was concerned about our baseboards. Johnny assured me it was not a problem as the would remove the baseboards and after the flooring was put down the would reinstall them. He assured me it would not be an issue and it would look great. We decided to go with them for our flooring.
The install only took a couple of days. However the end result is nothing close to what we were promised. There is several gaps between the flooring and the baseboards. The baseboards were completely thrashed and several small corner pieces were not reinstalled. There was no attempt to fill the nail holes or to seal the baseboards with caulk. Chips are all over the baseboard were they used tools to remove them. I called and told Johnny I was not happy. Johnny came and out and met me at my house. He seemed perplexed about why I was not happy. I showed him everything I mentioned above. Johnny reminded me that in their contract it said they are not responsible for broken baseboards. I couldn’t believe this was his defense. I told him I was aware of that however the baseboards were not broken He told me he would take care of it. I left to go back to work. I came home that night and was shocked at what I found. Johnny had used clear silicone to seal the tops of the baseboards. The nail holes had not been touched the corner pieces were not reinstalled. There was still gaps between the flooring and the baseboards.
There is no effort from this company to take pride in their work or to leave a job looking professional. Unfortunately my wife insisted that we pay our second and last payment for the job prior to it being completed on the last day as we were leaving. When we came home that night we attempted to stop payment on the check until the problems were resolved. The owner of the company had taken the check down to our bank that day and cashed it. They don’t have a company bank account to deposit checks into? In my mind there is only one reason why you would do this as they have had issues with customers being unhappy and with holding payment.
All of this happened with Shasta Lake floors knowing we were looking at doing more flooring work in our house in the next few months. WE WILL NOT BE USING SHASTA LAKE FLOORS!

Horrible business. The owner is despicable and bad customer service, poorly ran company. Do not buy flooring here or use the installers. Highly NoN recommended.

We liked the idea of supporting a local family owned business. Unfortunately, I will never do business here again. Lack of communication between staff, owner, and laborers with customer. Don’t expect anything extravagant. Flooring is lacking finish details. During the install the crew didn’t even know what the owner and I had discussed regarding certain areas of the house. Instead of handling problems professionally owner will threaten and try to intimidate you. This was one of the worst experiences we have ever had with a local business. Don’t make the same mistake. The flooring and materials is great, but paying extra for a smooth in and out completely finished job is not what will happen with these guys.
