Luigi’s Pasta & Pizza

Luigi’s is a Shawano favorite for pizza and spirited drinks. My family knowing that I am foodie highly recommended Luigi’s pizza and several of my family members said it is their favorite place in Shawano to dine.
My father ordered up a couple of their gigantic football pizzas and they did not disappoint! Nice crust cooked consistently from center to crust, nice gooey real cheese and the jalapeños they use have a good kick. We ordered this on a Friday night and we finally polished off these two more than generous sized pizzas Sunday morning.
If you are craving pizza while in the Shawano area then this is your spot!

This place is very unique for a small town. It has so much potential! It could be a pizza parlor by day and a upscale and fancier place for dates and dinners at night.
I am going to get right to the food, which is what you really want to know about, then I will address other things.
I ordered from the Italian dinners menu. My meal was just okay. The flavor was a little bland. The Tomato Spaghetti Sauce on my meal lacked traditional Italian spices and flavors. I had to had a ton of ground pepper and red pepper flakes to attempt to season it up. However, the ingredients (pasta, chicken, cheese) were definitely fresh and the portions were very large for the price. I had plenty for left-​overs. My husband ordered a pizza. It was huge and the crust was absolutely perfect. He said he wished it had included veggies and a little more flavor but all and all he enjoyed it.
Our favorite thing of our meal was definitely the garlic bread! It’s a must! It was packed full of garlic flavor!
The restaurant has a beautiful exterior and interior Tuscan theme. The outdoor patio has wonderful hanging bulbed lights. The music was surprisingly hip. They kept it to an easy/​soft pop station appropriate for all audiences. The rot-​iron tables were cute but they needed some candles or flowers for the tables. I feel like the patio is lacking some things to make it feel more welcoming. I would suggest some large potted plants and some hanging floral baskets. Then something to detour the massive mosquitoes. :)
The staff was sweet. Overall the service was good. Typical for a busy Friday night but the service for little stuff (refills and napkins) wasn’t really a priority.
I only have this place a 3 because I don’t feel like it’s living up to its full potential, but it is still a good place for dinner.

Excellent pizza. And we’re from Chicago! We were in Italy and your food beats most of what we had in Italy. Your pizza is just delicious and our waitress was delightful. Just been through wine training!

White water rafting up North, came through town in the evening and found Luigis. Real Italian run Restaurant that uses Olive oil– not that phony salad oils. The Walleye was very good with the olive oil and garlic buttered side of pasta. The italian Beef was gigantic and the Pizza Bread with the Chicago Giordano style thick slab of sausage (and two nice size bread) was excellent. And the price is all very very good. Highly recommend for travelers through area. Will come again someday. Very nice people too.

I’ve been there quite a few times. The Philly steak sandwich is to die for. The pizza is good and fish fries are good. Big portions and I usually end up taking home a doggie box. Just as good the next day. They are very busy especially on the week ends so go early or make reservations. In good weather they also have outdoor seating which I love. I did find though if you go there with someone the waitress knows the service is faster and better. But either way the food is good.

We were just staying overnight in town and stopped in for some pizza. Service was friendly and attentive. Pizza was very good.

Food is definitely worth the wait. If you have a big group make sure to call ahead and make a reservation. The stuffed pizza is the best and the extra wait for it is worth it also. My wife loves the manicotti. The servings are good sized and you will be bringing some home

The BEST pizza. I always stop here when I come out from NY to visit family in Central Wisco. The BEST.

Great lunch spot! I had spaghetti and meatballs for $ 5.50 which was delicious! It included a nice salad with a great balsamic salad dressing and two large pieces of garlic bread toasted with cheese. I’m told that the Sicilian Walleye is to die for, but it was too pricey for my lunch budget.

Good Italian? In Shawano? Yes. I was a skeptic when my family took me here. I have had pizza, ravioli, lasagna, tortellini, and chicken Alfredo here. All was good, except I’m not a fan of the Alfredo sauce. But this doesn’t surprise me since I haven’t found a place to top my favorite sauce ever. As you expect at Italian restaurant, food is plentiful. However the prices are very reasonable.

When here with the family where to start wait staff slow and seam to forget your there look like if you are a regular than service is better now for the food the pizza is good but the raviolis are not home made and sauce was bla now for the meat balls if they make them well not all that but I’m thinking frozen if you going out I should be better than what you get at home with this on will not eat there again

We love their pizza and always get the Luigi’s Special. Their pasta dishes and specials are fantastic as well. We love going to the bar area even more. Chad makes great drinks and the atmosphere is wonderful. Our favorite place to go in Shawano. Wish they were open on Mondays.

Great bartender; excellent selection of microbrews and beers on tap.

First time at this restaurant so we decided to order pasta, after all it is an Italian restaurant. Both of us thought the meal was very good. would we go back definitely yes

Really like the cheese bread and meatball sub. I go here every time I go to Shawno.

During a visit to Shawano in July, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there’s now a quite good Italian restaurant in an area where Italian options had previoiusly run more to chain pizza. Good luck to them!

Great pizza. High quality ingredients and the thin crust is excellent. Only thing I would change is use a little less cheese but you can request that.

Excellent, authentic Italian food. I love the alfredo and the red Velvet cake is the best dessert I have ever had. They have two of the best bartenders I have ever seen with Chad and Lea. They have awesome pizza also.
