We come here quite often for work trips. Very freindly staff that is helpful. I get phở in the winter then bah mien sandwiches in the summer, which by the way are quite large. Been here many a time and will return again!

Easily as good as the great phở places in Chicago Argyle like Tank Noodle — lots of authentic fresh big flavored food for cheap — order phở, huge bahn mi, amazing papaya salad, lychee bubble tea — our go to place

The service went from worst to super horrible, what a nightmare to deal with angry old Asian! I only goes to this place because they are only PHO in Sheboygan!!! And Pick up only!

This place is awful. Awful service and customer service. They have a very young girl I believe is the daughter(very sweet) running around doing just about everything. The cooks are very frantic and mean and the lady does not know what is going on when she gets stressed. Very disappointed

Huge portions(stick with the small Phở; it’s more than enough) and get the Spring Rolls for sure. We tried both the veggie and tofu Phở and the combo with five different beef cuts including tripe. Both were great.

Extremely disappointed. The first time I had their bubble tea which was good. All of the other times I couldn’t believe I paid for them. For some reason they tasted like food? Meaning they didn’t wash their utensils properly or something. How disgusting. One time we went to eat there they brought out cold rice. The shrimp was too damn salty. The phở wasn’t good. The floor was filthy. The tables were the same no less. A huge group of people came in and it was like a damn drinking partying! No respect for other people in the place. I would recommend not coming here.

This place is really good. I had the cold noodle salad w/2 egg rolls and pork. I have had what I thought was really good Vietnamese food, but this place was even better! Service was good, food came out fast, very large portion, great prices. I will def. Eat here again. Thanks phovn! You made my day.

Ordered the Charbroiled Pork Chop #58. It was too dry and I was having a hard time cutting it with a knife. I tried many Vietnamese restaurants and not very impressed with this one.

Went with a party of 6, 2 bahn mi’s, 2 Phở’s, 1 spicy shrimp dish, eggrolls, and spring rolls. Everything was delicious, except the spring rolls left much to be desired. They had little to no flavor, the addition of more cilantro and cucumber for crunch would have helped. Service was very good and fast. Sheboygan definitely needed this ethnic variety to cut the monotony and I’m very glad I now have this option when visiting.

Phở is something that I really love, but that I don’t get to have much. My girlfriend and I went here and overall, it was a pretty good experience. The service was pretty slow, but it was fairly crowded when we went out to eat, so I’m not really too upset about it. The interior is a bit dingy looking and rather boring– I’d recommend getting food to go. The spring rolls are really good, with shrimp being the main star($ 7 for three). I could eat just these for dinner and be happy. My girlfriend ordered the Phở Tom, or rice noodle soup with shrimp($ 12). I liked hers better, and she ate almost everything. I had the Phở Do Bien($ 11.50), which is rice noodle soup with seafood. If I’m not mistaken, it included fish balls, scallops, squid, and shrimp. It was pretty good, but it tasted a bit too fishy– not in the good way. I ate most of the broth, but let my girlfriend eat the chunks of fish, which she was also happy with. We also both got bubble tea($ 4.50), in lychee and mango. Both were delicious. I’d absolutely return here in the future, but now I know to get something else, plus bubble tea and an unhealthy number of spring rolls.

Ordered the spring rolls which were not too bad. Ordered the chicken salad, which was the last thing to come out. What’s the point of ordering appetizers when it comes out when your half way done with your entrée? Plus it wasn’t even worth $ 12. We ordered phở and it was the first time a restaurant didn’t do substitutions on a meat. The bean sprouts, cilantro, lime, and jalapeños looked like they have been sitting out all day. Did not look fresh at all. The workers at this place were so loud and all over the place which made our experience here worse. It was an overall disappointing visit since we were looking forward to it while we had an event at Road America.

I live in Fond du Lac and often work over in Sheboygan. I discovered Phở VN a while back and I am definitely glad I did. One of the problems of being an ex-city dweller, and moving up to Fond du Lac, WI is the lack of ethnic foods, not counting American-Mexican food and«Chinese» buffets. I stopped here a number of months back and was blown away by the food. Now I find myself stopping here just about every time I am in the area, working. If you are looking for atmosphere and ambience this isn’t the place for you. It is a bare bones, store front operation and there is not much, if anything, in the way of décor. But, if you are looking for seriously authentic Vietnamese food then you must try this place. My standard order is to start with their Spring Rolls which are fresh and bright with a good, if slightly too sweet peanut dipping sauce(I usually bump up the heat with some sriracha or chili oil), then follow that with a bowl of Phở. Be warned-stick with the standard sized phở and not the large unless you are really hungry. The portions are huge!!! I’ve tried a number of their phos but my favorite is the one with the rare steak, brisket, tripe and tendon. I know some of you are thinking tripe and tendon-no way! But trust me it is awesome, but there are options without those if you are squeemish. One of these days I plan on trying their Bahn Mi-a classic Vietmanese sandwich, but its hard not to order the phở. I will admit that the service is lacking somewhat. The young lady they usually have waiting is friendly, but does lack some experience and as such you usually have to flag her down to get refills or if you need something. But, in a place like this, I am willing to overlook some of the missteps in service because this place is all about 1 thing-the food. You know the place has to be good, and authentic, when I am consistently the only non-Vietnamese person eating in the place

I am new to the Sheboygan area, and I was craving something not«burger» related. I love vietnamese food, and missed the amazing selection of asian restaurants in St. Louis — read: not Chinese buffet! This place is exactly what I was looking for. Delicious, authentic, and served right. Their Phở is truly something you won’t find anywhere else in the area. The selection of meats is good, and they serve bubble-tea(which if you haven’t had — it’s worth it!). Don’t be afraid of trying something new! Don’t let the location or bland décor scare you away. This is real, authentic, and delicious. They also have rice plates and noodle plates, so if Phở isn’t your thing, they have plenty of other options available.

I had the chicken fried rice. Pro: good portion size, fresh veggies Con: it only taste like rice with veggies, server never stop once to refill/ask for refill on water, has to flag the server down when we were the only ones there.

I had high hopes for this restaurant based on other recent reviews, but I was really disappointed. The banh mi and phở were okay, but the spring rolls had no herbs and the lemongrass beef was covered in chili paste without any fresh chilies or much actual lemongrass. Overall it was definitely a bad meal and really overpriced at $ 40 for those items. I didn’t expect much for service and I didn’t receive much either. For example no one’s waters were refilled and we were all offered only one napkin/person. Finally, the bathroom was out of service. Overall, an unfortunate visit.

Where’s the sixth star? Because they deserve it! I like all different types of places to eat: eating at home, eating at a sushi bar, eating at fancy places, eating at delicious holes-in-the-wall, eating at 3-Michelin starred restaurants, eating on a train, pretty much everywhere. But of all the different genres of food-consumption venues, Phở VN fits the profile of what I like he most, for these reasons: First and foremost, the food is consistently great, and all of the ingredients are fresh. They have an open kitchen. There’s a very good variety, it’s family-run, the service is always friendly, and you can tell they have a customer-is-always-right attitude. The portions are generous without being to the point of excess, and I always leave feeling satisfied both in my tummy and my bank account. Favorite dishes include: the Bahn Mi(#69), one of the best sandwiches from a restaurant that I have ever had, Tai Gau(#36) the phở with rare beef and brisket which has excellent quality meat and very fresh ingredients, Cha Gio 4 Cuon(#1) which are the best egg rolls I’ve ever had, ever. I find that all their other appetizers are delicious, but not always what you expect when you order them. Bubble tea is also always a plus. Phở VN is a great go-to place for a quick, delicious, reasonably-priced meal that you should definitely try out.

I don’t think I give out five star reviews higgledy-piggledy, and if I were writing this to really mean perfection, it would be closer to four — but that would be nit-picking on a place that really is what it’s supposed to be.(IE: it isn’t supposed to have amazing lighting, or cushy seating, or anything of the like). Phở VN is bare bones, florescent, and affordable. Beyond that, the people are friendly, and the food is phenomenal. This has become, I think I can easily say this, my husband’s new favorite go-to restaurant in town. He is in love with their Phở, which he likes more than me, and can gulp down a big bowl happily in one sitting. What has crept up and surpassed this phở-natic love is their Bahn Mi sandwich. — Which makes perfect sense! It has just the right combo of flavors: Imagine the best French bread you’ve ever tasted, with just a touch of mayo, deliciously spiced sweet charbroiled beef, spicy sliced jalapenos, shaved carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, and even fantastically fresh cilantro. I finally had to order my own Bahn Mi, and was shocked I ate almost the whole thing(these sandwiches are HUGE!) If we’re talking apps, my favorite is their ‘sauteed garlic and butter shrimp’ which may be sauteed, but is also breaded and fried — that comes basically on a salad and can be a meal in and of itself. It’s so amazingly tasty by itself, but the sauce that comes with it doesn’t hurt either! I often find myself ordering the vermicelli noodles with charbroiled beef and fresh vegetables — the flavors in this are awesome. It also comes with an egg roll(my husband likes their egg rolls more than me, so it’s good the roll comes split in three pieces, as I give him two), as well as two grilled shrimp that are amazing, and a delicious combo of lettuce, bean sprouts, cucumbers, etc.(check my pics on here). On more apps: The calamari is simple but good, and the chicken salad could feed 4 – 6 people(as an app) or 2 for a main. It’s HUGE! Shredded chicken and veggies in a sweet and sour sauce, surrounded by sliced, fresh jalapenos, it’s interesting and very good. I was not a fan of the fried tofu, but my hubby liked it well enough. I wish they had tarot bubble tea, but as of now we’ve tried their coffee bubble tea which is good. Thanks for making an «I don’t know, what should we eat tonight?» dinner question that much easier, Phở VN!

They’re one of the few restaurants that have really good broth for their phở. I highly recommend it. Their other dishes are good as well. Their thai teas and bubble teas are either a hit or miss depending, but it’s still good. I come here a lot and probably wouldn’t go eat phở anywhere else.
