Best restaurant in the valley! The new location up on the hill in Buckland has great views of the river and the super quaint town of Shelburne Falls. Just included outdoor seating on the deck, which looks fantastic. Chef Chris only uses the best and freshest ingredients to craft eclectic SW/​pan Asian/​NE inspired dishes. The staples on the menu are excellent but the daily specials are where the magic happens. I was in there the other day and he gotten a right off the boat, beautiful Maihi Maihi in, that he hand butchered on site. Started with the savory and very fresh soft shell crabs. All the way out here in Western Mass, I felt like I was on the Maryland coast. He also uses mostly local produce and meats which are of excellent quality.
Holly the co owner, is a great host and always greets her patrons with a smiling face.
Then there is the bar… Many late nights at the bar. Also best selection in the valley. 10 beers on tap, with plenty more varieties in the cooler, excellent wine selection that Chef pairs with the dishes, then the mix drinks on the specials board will keep you happy. Got to try the Ghosts Chili Margarita. The word is out, so get here while you still can get a table.

I love the blue rock! The drinks are amazing and chef Chris is the best! We come here with our friends, with our kids or for date night! So fun to have such a great local restaurant! Holly is so accommodating– we just love her! Thanks guys for being so great.

We ate at the Blue Rock on April 1^st and returned on April 29^th with good friends. Our waitress was exceptional and the food was just perfect! We will definitely return!

The best place to dine in shelburne falls hands down. I have not had anything I would not order again at either the new or old location. The new location is very nice can’t wait to eat on the deck when the weather gets better. The service is second to none.

After being long time fans of the restaurant in its original, cozier, and more individual cellar location we were disappointed in the new version. Although nicely designed with a nice view and beautiful looking bar area the same old benches well suited to the first location looked out of place in the swankier new setting. The cocktails after three tries were not well made so we gave up and the biggest disappointment was the grilled cheese sandwich. There was no longer the option of the delicious wheat berry bread nor were there choices of cheeses or the former options of additions like tomatoes. It used to be a highlight dish and this time it was a very average sandwich. A group of us who were fans of the former grilled cheese offering are sorely disappointed.

This is an awesome place for a date, special dinner or even a few drinks with the girls. All their food is made to order and top-​notch. Absolutely love the brussel sprout salad and the pretzel is made to perfection!

Truly excellent fine dining quality food. The food was reasonably creative, and very well prepared. We ordered mostly off the specials menu.
The specialty cocktails were the up to date, modern eclectic kind one would expect from a place like this, though honestly both mine, and my wife could have used a few tweaks. Worth having, but not the pinnacle of mixology either.
The service was great. They were slammed, but, at our request, the server paced our appetizers and entrees perfectly, and we were able to have the kind of leisurely meal we were looking for.
Overall, worth the drive out to Shelburne Falls, even if you are coming from one of the larger areas. Order creatively, and you will not be disappointed.

Excellent food and service! The new location helps make it feel less claustrophobic. Best bar service and they take extra special attention to detail on each order.

Now re-​opened in new location. Same great food, dine or drink overlooking the Deerfield river. Busy night for table service. Grazed the menu at the roomy bar, nice selection of specialty drinks, tap craft beer and farm to table menu.
