Catering By Dale

Last weekend we hosted get-​together of folks from the workplace, catered by Dale. Next time we have a big gathering in our home, we’ll know just who to call. The set up was swift, professional and friendly, quickly adapting to the particulars of our kitchen and dining room. The food beautiful to look at, presented attractively — and utterly delicious. Out of a couple dozen people, I only spotted one who did not go back for seconds. There was plenty of variety for everyone, including those with food restrictions — and the general feeling was one of classy abundance. The pacing was expertly handled, with clean dishes replacing those once used, as we sat or perched around the house. And when everyone was finished (not before), the clean-​up seemed to be invisibly accomplished: the rhythm of the gathering was not interrupted. Left-​overs were packed up deftly (and securely) — some for us to enjoy in the coming week, the rest for a few other folks to take away. The two women who handled the affair almost slipped away without my having a chance to thank them, so quiet was their exit. The whole evening was handled beautifully — a memorable meal and a memorable occasion.
