The new HDTV set up is awesome; this is one of the best places to go for «the game».
Also a big fan of the folks that work there.

This place is pretty depressing. I went there for the first time last month and there was a very strange crowd. Being Friday night I thought it might at least be interesting. But it was dirty and the music was insanely loud. A group of drunk ³⁰⁄₄₀ somethings were requesting terrible songs for the poor band to play. The singer was a good sport, though.
I ordered a wine and I guess that was my mistake. I should have known, seeing as there was an empty dispenser for Fireball whiskey. It tasted sour, like it had been sitting open in the fridge for a while.
This place has cheap beer, which is why this place gets the 2 stars.

The MAJOR problem here tonight is that there are a bunch of under age kids walking around. Apparently there is some sort of ‘cheer’ function going on here in there banquet room. It is attached to the bar and shares the bar bathroom. NOT a place for kids. Very disappointed in Hamlin Pub for allowing this to happen. Band was great though!

The food is not great, but it is a bar. The drinks are a little overpriced. Love the entertainment and the staff. Always good taken care of.

Nice place… pizza was good and so was my burger the night before. Friendly service and only waited 10 minutes for my food. The craft beer selection could use a boost but overall very nice.

Not sure what’s going on with this place. We used to frequent here at least twice a month. Then the wait for food seemed to get longer and longer, so we didn’t go as often. Returned about 3 months later and experienced the same long wait (45 min) for food. I just went back after having been away for the summer and things certainly have not improved: not only was the wait long but the food was not good. We ordered a burger and I thought it was roadkill. It was AWFUL! I asked the server if they serve venison as I thought it couldn’t possibly be beef, but she said they only serve the «best quality» beef in their burgers and made me another. It was equally as bad. Suffice it to say, I left hungry. They did take the price of the burger off the bill so, they did the right thing there.

Went to meet a friend for dinner and see the band playing that night. We ended waiting to get a high top but didn’t mind. Conversation flows when I meet up with one of my good friends.
We finally sat down and they had some awesome specials because the Tigers game was on. I did the medium pizza. WONDERFUL! It is a brick oven pizza and I will do it again and again. (Tiger game was a bust losing to the Twins 11 to 4)
We invited some other people to join us and had great conversations with them as we ate and waited for the band. They actually ended up staying later because the 4 of us were enjoying the night so much. My friend ended up running into 2 people she knew plus another mutual friend stopped by. Good times.
As for the band, Planet of Fun was FUN. Nice place for a band to play. Great people watching (I was sober opting for ice tea all night). Really workout shorts, skin tight shirt and high heel shoes for the bar??? Interesting choice. I think a pole was needed at some point. Found out they were band groupies.
Check them out — you will not be disappointed. But expect a wait on Friday at 7:30. as for the band… if they happen to be there. Enjoy the night.

Wow! This place have changed! Stopped by yesterday for the first time in years for a bite to eat. The menu is new and the food delicious! I stopped eating here as anything, except the burgers, seemed to either be nuked or dipped in the fryer to be reheated.
We ordered 3 different sandwiched from the new menu, plus coffee and dessert. The sandwiches all had fresh baked buns/​bread, and were stacked high with fresh ingredients. And let’s not forget home made potato chips and sweet potato fries! Nice and crisp. Desserts at pubs are usually not great — but not here! The cake arrived heated just right, with lots of ice cream, whipped cream and sauce and tasted freshly made. Delicious!
Our server was friendly and attentive — beer glasses never ran empty on her watch! Before I would only recommend Hamlin for drinks/​sports watching — now; I’d say gather up family and friends and visit Hamlin for lunch, snacks and dinner!

Like all Hamlin pubs it kinda stinks like iul fruit and beer. Great for couples, but not great for single men

5 stars for Marcie the very charming & polite bartender who took my call in & fetched my pie upon arrival.
The Pizza was very good, double sauce & lots of of ham.
And it provided 2 – 3 days of leftovers
I’m more of a square fan over round, but this will work in a pinch.
I only like neapolitan /​thin crust rounds
And although I was only here long enough to pick up a carryout, this location was FAR NICER/​CLEANER than any other Hamlin Pub

Hamlin Pub gets four stars for food (considering its a bar and not a high end dining experience) and zero stars for service.
I enjoyed my food and was happy to see their gluten free menu was extensive (I am not GF but have friends/​family that are). I ordered wings with an Asian ginger glaze which was delicious.
But the service killed me. I was attending a bachelorette party. Their private room was rented out by the party. There were about 20 of us and there was only one waitress dealing with us the whole time-​seriously? I don’t know if this was a decision made by management or if someone didn’t show up for work, but the waitress serving us
seemed completely unaware of how swamped she was with requests or how behind she was. There were no apologies with how long the service took either. By the end of our time many of us in the group were dreading that we only had credit to pay for our bill because we didn’t want to wait 10 – 15 minutes for our card. Yes that did happen.
Unless someone decides to have a social gathering that I can’t miss out, Hamlin Pub won’t see me again.

Still a lot regular spot for our fam. Update 9÷20÷14 — the last two times we have been here the service is improved. Manager Craig has gone out of his way to make sure our dining experience was great. The servers themselves still seem to give a little less attention to customers that they should but they are improved since previous visits. There have not been any mistakes on our bills either. Keep up the good work Craig –we really like this place!

I think this is the nicest of all of the Hamlin Pub locales, and certainly seems the largest. And it is ALWAYS packed, everytime I go. What I like about this place is the size, it’s a great place to check out a band, and know you will most likely be able to get a seat. I’ve eating small things here on occaision, and I don’t think Hamlin is known for their food… and that’s fine… But to grab a couple beers and check out a show, it’s great! If you grew up in the area, which I did, you’ll no doubt run into someone from your past!

Its an upscale pub/​bar, it’s ok for kids but later at night its an adult environment. Used to enjoy this place a lot more before they took off ¾ of the variety off the menu wtf

The food keeps getting worse, if that is possible! The burger looked like it was steamed instead of grilled or fried, and tasted really odd. The fries were good. The perch dinner that was on special for the month was horrible. The filets were overcooked dark brown pieces in shapes that did not look like any perch that I have ever had before. I doubt it actually was perch
The place had a sour smell to it, like maybe the carpet needed cleaning. For it being a relatively new business, the place looks worn and beat up.
The service is very slow, considering only about 8 tables were being served at the time i was there.
We used to go there frequently, but lately because of the poor food we haven’t been going as often. Well last night was our last visit. Terrible!

I usually don’t write bad reviews… But I have to…
This place has the worst food I have ever had at any place that calls themselves a pub. I ordered Fish and Chips WHAT I GOT WAS soggy fish that was poorly battered and greasy, with slabs of potatoes that had absolutely zero crunch (very thick cut potatoes that were not properly fried). I wouldn’t suggest this place to my worst enemy. The Coleslaw tasted like sh*t by the way.
Coming from a culinary background its not hard to make good fish and its not hard to make good chips (thicker fries but not the huge soggy crap they call fries)
I would love to talk to the owner of this place, and prove to him why his food is not good. Who the heck do they have cooking this mess. Also apparently the service isn’t the greatest, hire people who like to make money get rid of the people stealing its not rocket science.
Btw fish and chips with 2 pieces of crappy cod and french fries at lunch cost my 14 $! FRICKING KIDDING ME…

Used to love this place, went almost every week. Last fall it seemed to change, slow service, mediocre food and did not go back for months. In January had bad service again, slow and small portions, filled out a survey and heard nothing. Stayed away until this week and had my very last meal there, never going back.
Examples of what is now typical. Waiting in line for a table with disorganized seating. 3 times now, some jerk comes in and talks his way into getting seated ahead of people who have been waiting. Smaller portions of food, much smaller. Order tomatoes with your burger, expect to get one very small, very slim slice. I did learn to order extra tomatoes, which got me two very small, very slim slices.
This last time we got the burger and brew deal (as we usually do, it says domestic beers included, but only covers 3 – 4 crappy domestics and a Canadian beer. Can live with that, but ordered a Sam Adams for my first beer and they bring it along with the smaller beer that comes with the burger. I asked why they are bringing me two beers at once and the guy said because I ordered them. Nice customer service.
Done this at least 30 times before here and they bring the beers one at a time. The attitude was a far cry from anything resembling customer service.
They used to have the best burgers and awesome customer service there, but within the last year, not even close.

I ordered a carry out for the first time ever from here… a chicken ceaser salad that was 10 bucks and it HORRIABLE!
I thought this place would be decient. Cool website, pretty neat menus and the food sounded the same yet unique… So, I thought I’d give it a try. Never again will I order food. I know it’s a bar, and why would I order a salad from a bar you say?. Hamilin advertises 5 salads on its menu, I figured it would be cool. The lettuce was soggy and sour, the chicken was «aight», and the portion was pittiful!
Note: a bar is only as good as it’s burger, I realize this of course! but dont advertise salads and act like your above all other bars and your bar salad stink!

A) bought a groupon for this joint and they wouldn’t honor it… it expired the same day I bought the coupon. I said, I bought it while eating dinner… (gotta love technology!!) waitress said, too bad. So I had to fight to get my $$ back. Strike 1.
2) The food stunk. Over cooked, under cooked, burned — we had it all at our table. Got our beer, then were dissed, placed our order and got said crummy food, then were dissed again. Strike 2.
3) Food is not cheap, even though quality sucks. Strike 3.
4) Manager should have said hello? Is your food and service okay? Wait you have complaints about both? Let’s chat! But instead no sight of management. Instead a full price ticket for a piece of crap meal… No thanks. Strike.4?
Don’t bother, the food isn’t great; it is a ripoff, and even management doesn’t give a crap. Stay away.
Oh, and don’t try to contact them via the internet, they don’t want to provide contact information. You suck Hamlin Pub.
