China Buffet

Worst food I have ever eaten in my life, period. Food was bland, slimy, and full of msg. Even the ice cream had freezer burn on it. Bad even for bad chinese.
How does chens have 3.5 stars and this place has 4?
Really Shelby? Why am I not surprised.

As usual the food was great. The buffet was clean and fresh. Their Mai Fun is awesome and I love that they have sushi (limited selection mind you but still). I’d love for them to put more really authentic Chinese dishes on the line. I like the Americanized food but when you’ve had authentic Chinese dishes it’s a world if difference. The tables and silverware were clean, believe me when it’s buffet that is a huge deal to me. I usually have to go really early before people have a chance to hover over the food. Here I’ve watched the way they operate and I feel good about it. Overall this is great food and awesome service.

When in Shelly, I will probably make this my one stop for a good meal. Notably is their sweet and sour soup and meat and vegetable dishes. The meats were tender and vegetables were not overly cooked. Sushi was fresh and pleasant to the palate. Noticeably, the dishes were not greasy. Choices were not as many as big city Chinese buffets but a satisfactory variety for a well rounded meal.

This is an excellent place for Chinese. LOTS better than that place across the road. The food is pretty much good quality. I have never had anything bad there. The sushi is always decent and COLD.

Not bad. This isn’t my go to Chinese place, but sometimes when I’m in the mood for it I like this buffet. There’s quite a bit of selection, but the food quality is hit or miss. I mean, I haven’t had anything bad, but you don’t get anything that I’d order as an entrée specifically just to get a whole plate of it, you know? The sushi is average, but even average sushi can still be yummy. Surprisingly, they have some great frog legs.
They do have lots of regular American food like grilled steak, chicken wings, and other stuff like that if you’re going out with someone who is picky or with a group of youngsters. It’s not the best quality Chinese food in Shelby (that’s Chens) or the best buffet (That’s Chinatown) but it does have the best selection. I do like that they have ice cream and popsicles in a big freezer for dessert, though.

Beautifully remodeled — totally new inside. Everything is new and very clean. The food on the buffet was excellent, very fresh and hot. They have a complete Sushi bar, dessert bar, and many entrees and side dishes.
