Walmart Supercenter

I have to say, I’m giving this store 4 stars because the tire and lube area really impressed me today. I can’t give it a 5, because the store itself is fine, not great. I went in for an oil change and they were fast, nice and when I got in my car there was a letter from the store and area managers along with a small bouquet of flowers saying thanks and to let them know how they did. Very sweet, and I’m impressed. Also only $ 30 for all sorts of stuff that Pennzoil didn’t do (tire, filter, battery check, fluids etc) in the same town for almost $ 40. I’m sold — going to Walmart for my oil changes.

Poorly stocked. Lots of empty shelves. Nothing more frustrating than an empty slot where the product you want was… They still have great prices (that’s how they get you to come back). The grocery section is good for canned goods, cereals, detergent, TP and other staples. Suprisingly they have a decent beer selection and they do carry Haagen Daz. We even tried their premium steaks and they were «Meh!» all the way, verging on «not very good». Sometimes you can actually find a better deal on products online than in store (two different prices) — they wouldn’t honor the price, so I ordered it online and had it shipped to store. Did they just pull the product off the shelf to fulfill the order? No, they actually shipped another one. Can anyone say inefficient?

This is a pretty below average Wal-​Mart. The grocery side of the store isn’t bad, but they rarely restock or clearance anything in the toy department. Not a good store for collectors looking for action figures. They have such a limited selection compared to other Wal-​Marts. They also rarely have checkout lanes open or enough check out lanes open.
