The chicken livers were way over cooked, the mashed potatoes were cold. They were out of croutons. We requested apple butter and blackberry jelly yet we received neither. This was honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had at cracker barrel.

Worst meal that I’ve ever been presented! I cannot say it was the worst meal I’ve had because it was literally inedible. The baked potato was so hard that I couldn’t cut into it. I asked for another and was served, yet another rock hard potato. Requesting the manager was as pointless as attempting to eat here, as he had nothing more to say than«sorry bout your potato», and shrugged his shoulders. He didn’t even offer to remove the item from my bill. I ordered steak as well; however, it was quit cold by the time the manager arrived and remained on the plate untouched. This was the worst dining experience thus far.

Went for dinner once and did not enjoy our meal. It was quite tasteless. Never had breakfast at this location but we won’t be back to try.

These folks are almost always on their A game. The food is also rarely less than perfect. That is why they get 5 stars.

Went there for breakfast this morning. My oatmeal cranberry pecan dish was delicious. My coffee mug was always full.

We just ate at the location in Shelbyville, KY. Although the service was great, the food was mediocre at best, leaning towards bad. My breakfast had 3 eggs over easy, bacon, 2 sausage patties, 2 biscuits & gravy. What I got, was 3 runny white, cold yolk eggs, 2 very spicy — dry sausage patties, 3 strips of bacon that had been pre-coooked, then dropped in the fryer to reheat and make crispy, 2 biscuits and cold, tasteless gravy. Linda ordered multi grain pancakes(ok, but cold), bacon(served like mine) and 2 scrambled eggs(eggs were cold) There were 4 of us, not counting Aubrey, and it cost $ 40 Hallie had pancakes and bacon, Bethany had eggs, pancakes and tea. Linda had coffee. She said it had just enough coffee in it to make it brown. Hallie had OJ and I had strawberry lemonade. The whole experience, including the service rated 6 of 10 stars, 4 of the stars for the service. We won’t be going back there anytime soon. Tomorrow we will go across the street and try Waffle House.

You get what you pay for. Reasonable prices = reasonable food. The sugar cured ham is the best thing I have had from here. Always fun to look around in the country store after dining.

This is really one of the best cracker barrel store’s I’ve ever been to. The food is 90% of the time, very good. The service is what sets this one apart usually. However on our visit today, it was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. The service started out good, but when our waitress left us to another waiter, it went down hill fast. I’ll still go back, but it was a black eye to a place where it is usually so good.

Best place to have food at in the morning. Since it is so close to me! The wait sucks… but we’ll worth it in the end.

This is not a review of the restaurant but rather a review of the gift store. I’m in search of the perfect holiday gift, not something that you’d find in a mall or super store. I came into the gift shop and hit the jack pot. Unique cookbooks, fun children’s presents, and perfect gifts to give holiday party hosts/hostesses. All at affordable prices and they even gift wrap. It’s only the first week of December and I think my gift giving for the month is about taken care of.

Good service, good food, reasonable prices. I don’t think anyone in America hasn’t eaten at Cracker Barrel.
