We recently held a catered, wedding rehearsal dinner for 110 at the Pridwin. Everyone who attended Friday’s BBQ repeatedly said«what a great place and how much they loved the food.» Special thanks to PJ(the manager) and his entire staff for helping make our evening one that will be remembered forever. The set-up with white table cloths, candle light, and fire pit was the perfect side bar to the stunning sunset. The menu featured-locally sourced food. Stand outs included: tender mussels, meaty spare ribs, and local North Fork wines. We didn’t want to leave and stayed late into the night playing ping pong in the rec room The pride that Glenn & Alissa hold for The Pridwin is clear in its appearance and the professionalism of ownership and management.

We stay at the Pridwin every Memorial Day weekend. Great views of the water while eating. Best sunset around. Food is usually very good to pretty good but we usually have to wait. If local fish is on the menu it couldn’t be any fresher. We just order some drinks and enjoy some conversation and fun.

I was there over Labor Day Weekend, and it was pretty empty. Unfortunately the staff did not feel like working, and the food was overpriced and mediocre. Very pretty view on the water, but I will absolutely not be returning.

Terrible service. The entrees were either under cooked or over cooked. And the manager is very unprofessional and so is his outfit comprised of sneakers and shorts.

Beautiful, lovely restaurant right on the water. I dined with a party of five last Sunday — at 6:30 the place wasn’t very crowded at all, but it filled up by 7:30−8ish. To put it mildly, the people I ate with like having things«their way» — so they made countless special requests that perhaps a less professional wait staff would have scoffed at — and maybe they did behind our backs. But to our face they were kind and courteous. They didn’t have any more mango for my mango-rita mocktail, so they replaced it with peach. It was heavy on the lime, it almost fooled me into thinking it had alcohol in it! Salmon with whipped potatoes was delicious. Not too fishy — just right. I asked nicely that my asparagus be replaced with carrots, and they obliged. The one truly ridiculous thing that happened was when one of us ordered the roasted half chicken — key words, ROASTED and HALF. So, he expected a breast, a leg, and a thigh, nicely roasted. What he got instead was a baked, maybe fried chicken CUTLET — it couldn’t pass as a half chicken in the slightest, and you shouldn’t be charged as if it were a half chicken either! They offered no explanation as to why it came out differently, but they did remove it from the bill. I guess the chef for the day misread the menu? One other annoying thing — I asked 2 different servers, including the one assigned to my table, for a straw for my drink — everybody else at my table got straws. Both servers forgot. The second guy remembered and placed a straw at my table right as I finished my drink out of sheer impatience waiting for a straw. Seriously, guys? Keep some straws in your aprons. –_– Also, a logistical complaint: It seems very little of this hotel is handicapped accessible. One person in our party happened to require 2 canes and isn’t very nimble at all. What will it take for you to add an elevator or a ramp system? Don’t you host a lot of weddings? And who attends weddings? A lot of older people with physical limitations! The dock is particularly bad — you need to be practically an athlete to climb out of your boat, up the 2 feet onto the dock, sometimes via the floating dock. Add a ladder or some other system so that people like me aren’t so afraid of falling into the water!

Sure the view is lovely, but when you are paying a minimum of $ 100.00 for dinner for two, the food better be equal to the task. Our server was not very knowledgeable about the menu, and I feel that I should have been warned about the extremely bony whole Sea Bass. Presentation of the poor creature was so totally unappetizing, that I hardly felt like picking through those bones. The skin was not crisp, and being quite ugly(see photo), I was careful not to eat it. There was nothing on the plate but said fish, and a few tiny dollops of a kind of pesto(made from arugula, I believe). I did appreciate the few bits of roasted shallots in the bit of sauce. My husband had a lobster roll and fries that did not look like anything special. He had corn chowder that was overly sweet in my book. I resented that my plate, at $ 28.00, did not include a few roasted potatoes or something green and edible! How is that the case, when another fish entrée on the menu, at $ 24.00, came with potato and vegetable? The outdoor bar area looks appealing, but I will never go back for another meal.

Beautiful view and the staff is very nice and friendly, however, this was the worst service + food I think I have ever received. Six, yes six, empty tables and the frazzled hostess told us we couldn’t sit because we didn’t have a reservation and it would be an hour before we could sit. I could buy this on a weekend, but it’s hard to swallow on a Tuesday night. A waitress overheard us and set up another table at the far end of the porch. Look, I didn’t have a reservation and I will accept what people are telling me, but when those six tables remained empty for the entire rest of the evening, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth… more on that below. We ordered drinks, and waited about 15 minutes, the waitress came back and took our order. Salad + Mussels for appetizers, Steak and Tuna for entrees. And then we sat… for an hour and a half. I don’t know why we didn’t leave, I think I was just hanging on to the idea that the food would be worth the wait. It wasn’t. We were finally served the apps, bowl of mussels with a burned piece of bread in them. The burn bits were scraped off into the bowl? and the entire thing tasted like burnt bread. So, so, so disappointing. And then, another half hour before the entrees. Yes, it’s true. I complained to the waitress, she apologized and brought us another drink. So now we’ve been there about 2 hours, without dinner. The Hostess had the NERVE to come to our table and ask if we are ready to place our order? This isn’t a big place, there was only two other tables at this point, and she was that clueless. It was beyond aggravating. Finally, we see our dinner plates come out of the kitchen. The runner brings them to our table and suddenly turns and goes back into the kitchen. 10 minutes later he comes back out… I don’t even want to think about why that happened. My steak was not the right temperature and the sauce was literally dumped on. It looked like a six year old plated it, and it just was a flavorless nothing that was even more insulting because it was served cold. When meal costs about $ 65 a head it should be better. Go for a drink, enjoy the view, but eat somewhere else.

Lovely view and very attentive staff, especially the runners! Good food, but nothing exciting for anyone that excludes animal products in their food. Great music.

Restaurant is fabulous, bar is excellent. They should keep them open the whole year. The view from the decks is superb. As a summer getaway from the Big Apple, it was just perfect. Some things may not be perfect, but we did like the atmosphere.
