The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because of the staff and overall atmosphere when the first owner was in charge. Since the change in(maybe) 2012 the service has been horrid concerning customer service, the prices are very expensive, and the spray tans are terrible. I was in a car accident & couldn’t tan with my cast or injuries– the owner refused to call me back or accommodate and freeze my account or refund my $ 100+ I spent on lotion and a tanning package. I then paid for one mystic tan because no where else local offered them and I came out streaky, the booth was nasty.(It’s never been cleaned) and parts of my body were tan while others weren’t. Horrible.

Now they also do nails which are way over priced. Acrylic Fill: $ 35 Full Set: $ 70 I could go to 90s nails in Shelton and get a full set for 25 and a fill for 15. This place continues to get more expensive and stray away from what they actually are; which is a tanning salon. They are trying to be a spa but there simply isn’t enough room or experience there to do so. If i wanted to go to a spa i would go to coco spa Shelton. Lava tan is overpriced and they could be cleaner.

Lava Tan is great, it’s very clean and has mystic spray tanning in addition to beds. This was my first time here based on a friends recommendation. I got a medium spray tan once it processed it was streaking… I am not sure if it was me or the booth? I would defiantly go back for regular tanning or possibly a spray tan done by hand !
