Following a shoulder replacement and a severe back problem, I called Mason County and asked if one of the little buses that run around Belfair could pick me up and take me to physical therapy. Boy, not only did they tell me «of course!» each and every driver came to my door, helped me with the wheelchair and onto the bus, made sure the chair and I were secure, then promptly and courteously delivered me to therapy. They were so friendly as well, and made the trip very enjoyable. And it was free! I’ve never known a service so dependable, courteous, friendly. Hats off to this company and their wonderful drivers. I have to say overall that the bus drivers for the most part are great. The Customer Service Manager or whatever she wants to call herself, Jane, is a terrible leader who has no business being in that type of role. Overheard her telling one of the passengers who was disabled and trying to find out why we couldn’t stop at a certain location to let off, that she was just whining because she didn’t get her way. Is that really any way that a customer service manager or manager at that rate to speak to a paying customer that way? Why Jane has this position in this organization beyond me. I would have fired her quite a long time ago. She obviously does not understand that ADA regulations state that they are to make reasonable accommodation for people who are handicapped or disabled.
