Just had my daughter’s 10^th birthday party on Saturday night and the experience we had will probably prevent us from returning in the future.
1^st complaint — EXTREMELY unorganized. Our bowling lanes were at the complete opposite end of the place from where our tables were reserved. We could’ve easily just stayed in the bowling area.
2^nd complaint — EXTREMELY rude and lazy party hostess. Asking her to do anything was like pulling teeth. And when it came time to explain our bill to me, she suggested that I go get the manager. Excuse me? I’ll touch more on that in a second. Even when we arrived a little early like we were told to do, our hostess wasn’t really willing to help us get situated because our party «didn’t start til 6 so…»
3^rd complaint — where is all the wait staff???
4^th complaint — our bill. We paid for a Tween package for 10 kids in advance. Two days before the party, I added on 1 lane so the adults could bowl which should’ve been $ 36 plus shoe rental. Well weren’t we surprised when our bill came and we owed nearly $ 100 just for bowling! The hostess couldn’t explain it to me, and reluctantly went to get the manager so that he could explain the charges to me which still to this day make no sense. Even with the differences is tax, service fee, shoe rental, and bowling, I’m still not sure how we ended up owing another $ 91 after we had already paid $ 225 in advance.
I feel like we were completely ripped off.

Had my son’s birthday party here yesterday. It was a disaster from the word go. The party was to start at 2 and we arrived at ten minutes to. Our «Party Hostess» who never introduced herself, briefly ran through the schedule of events, which seemed to conflict with what I had signed up with as far as timing goes. So at just around 2, she says, are you ready to do Laser Tag? I said, well, we are missing half of our guests, I would like to wait until they arrive. So she says, ok well we can re-​schedule it to be after your bowling at 4:30. What??? I merely wanted to wait 5 minutes until everyone got there. I told her no, we were supposed to have the party done by 4:30, and that’s when parents were coming back. She said, OK, so we’ll go now. I said what about the other guests? She said that they would be able to play laser tag when they got there.
Wrong.
I had to go stand by the front door and direct guests of where to find us after I saw two of the moms and kids wandering around lost. Clearly they weren’t telling them where to go. And to top it off, 6 guests showed up between 2:00 and 2:10 and weren’t allowed to play! Which I had paid for! Very frustrating. There is no reason we couldn’t have waited 10 minutes… Laser Tag is just a rolling start every 20 minutes. We would have been fine waiting.
So then we get ushered into the cake /​eating room. Keep in mind, I have been grabbing gifts from kids and putting them in this room, our Party Hostess was where at this time? So when the kids get there, she then asks us we get a choice of two Pepsi products, which ones would we like? She couldn’t have asked us what we wanted while we were waiting for laser tag? So I have 15 nine-​year olds in a room with absolutely nothing to do. Then the drinks come. Then she says she’s going to get us our pizza. Seriously, she is the only one working the room with 15 kids? So now they’re totally bored out of their mind and starting to act up. We had ordered the cheese /​pepperoni pizza combo. Come to find out this is not cheese and pepperoni pizza. It is one slice of each for each kid. Why not just bring several pies of each and let the kids eat what they want? Some kids didn’t want 2 slices, others wanted three, and not everyone wanted pepperoni. Bizarre.
So now the pizza is done and she disappears again to go get cake forks and plates. Why couldn’t you have had them in the room? You know that we were going to eat them. Just have them there! So poorly organized.
Our «Hostess» finally comes back and proceeds to clean up the pizza, then we cut cake. When we are done with cake, I am told that our bowling lane doesn’t open for ½ hour! Are you kidding me? We’ve been in this party room for over a half hour, and now we have to sit here and wait? She tells me that our lanes run from 3:30 to 4:30. I say. my contract says it runs until 4:15 and then the kids get to go spend their $ 5 arcade card that they get. She pulls out something and shows it to my wife and says no, the lane is from 3:30 to 4:30. Total disaster. 9 year olds bored out of their mind will find ways to get into trouble.
Finally 15 minutes later we walk down to the lane to get shoes. Get the kids in shoes and they tell us that our lanes don’t open for another 10 minutes. But there are empty lanes right next to us, so naturally the kids start bowling, and they proceed to yell at the kids! I hear about this later from my wife because during this time, I am trying to figure out what to do with all of the presents that we left in the party room. I go back to the room and there are people cleaning up the room. I ask about the presents and I am told that they will be put in a locker by our hostess. I go back to the group, find out this story from my wife, who is by now super pissed, and the hostess is standing behind the counter not doing anything. So I go back to the party room where another hostess is panicking and says «there you are, thank god your’e back». I tell her I will move the presents and she says thank you. Luckily I spotted a cart and grabbed it. She helps me load the presents on the cart so I can bring them to the car (at this point no way am I putting them in a locker to have to move them later; my luck and the cart would be gone) and asks how my party is going to this point. I tell her «pretty lousy, actually» and she gets very quiet and flustered and says «well, there is always a comments section when you pay». Really?
When I get back the hostess has our kids on the lanes and finally they are bowling. At least this wasn’t screwed up. The kids enjoyed bowling and the lane attendants were pretty responsive when pins or balls got stuck. But because we were so late, half of the guests left before they got to use the game card. They’ll have to come back to play. When my wife paid, she complained that half our group didn’t get to play tag. No discount offered or apology.

Came here with friends to enjoy a Monday night of bowling for a good price. Only $ 9.95 for a wrist band that gets you unlimited bowling and laser tag… can’t beat that!
We arrived around 5:30 and whew, it was already packed! We were able to get on the waiting list (they give you a buzzer) and we just played games in the arcade until our lanes were ready.
Like another reviewer mentioned, bowling IS timed which was a bit of a bummer. We played 1 game and the second game was interrupted by the timer. Darn! I was on the verge of winning that one, too! So many people come on Mondays to take advantage of the deal that’s it’s the only way to keep it fair, I guess. I actually think it’s an effective system. But, it does whomp if you’re only planning to bowl or if you’re planning to order food. Your game may end before your food arrives which actually kind of ruins the experience. Ok, maybe something’s in the system can be fixed after all.
When our game ended abruptly we just decided to play laser tag which was fun. They have a karaōke room and a place to play pool if that’s your thing too.
Maybe go to one that doesn’t get as busy if you’re coming on a Monday. This one definitely packs out. I had fun though and would come again… on a Monday ha. You just can’t beat that $ 9.95!

Everything was fine until it was time to go bowling. After a two hour wait we finally got a lane. Half way thru our «unlimited» game we were informed that we only had an hour of game play. This wasn’t even enough time to finish one game. We were told that bowling is unlimited but we only can play ONE hour at a time then you have to wait another two hours to play again. In order to play two games you have to be here for six hours. After confronting the manager he removed all signs that said unlimited bowling if you bought a pass. I strongly suggest you visit an actual bowling alley if you want to have a good time.

I went to main event with a group of friends for drinks and fun only to find that it was going to cost ENTIRELY too much money just to bowl for an hour. We received a warning when my group had a short amount of time left to bowl and went to the front to ask how I’d be able to extend the time. I was told I’d have to be put on a wait list that was already over an hour long even though I got there first. That seems unfair to me. The food was mediocre and nearly inedible and my beer was flat. Not to mention that there were children running wile throughout the building. Very poor experience. Would not recommend for adults.

We booked our grandsons 8 th birthday party with bowling, party room and laser tag. We arrived at the appointed time and our party hostess provided shoes. We were informed we had to wait for the lanes and we had to «hang out» at the front. This gave a large group of 2 nd grade boys time to run around out of control for 20 minutes, while the party hostess kept disappearing. When they finally got to bowl, the hostess set them up and disappeared. Who was supposed to be supervising and directing the game? This place isn’t cheap and for us to be left on our own is inexcusable. Another issue was the filth. The tables in the bowling area weren’t clean and we had to stare at filthy dishes. They did put a reserved sign on the filthy tables for us.
The hostess finally appeared in time to take us to the party room. The table was clean, the floor was filthy.
Would I recommend this place and do another party here. NO! Because of the filthy health hazards and not being organized, with a disappearing party hostess. Is cleanliness hard? Shouldn’t there have been two party hosts? Felt like we were moved through like cattle. For the price we paid I expected a lot more.
Also my granddaughter traded in her
points for a charging plug. When she got home and plugged it in it sparked, shocking hand in 2 places. Let’s add dangerous items given to kids to this review.

Very poor service! Waited 30 minutes for a server on our lane. Waited another 15 for sodas, another 10 for beer, and another 20 for food. Complained to the server who argued with us and was rude. Complained to the manager, who switched out servers to a really great server, Brandon, who really hustled to serve us. He is the only reason I give any stars.
We purchased all day bowling for $ 7/​person, however, every hour, they make you stop the game and move lanes.

Great place to take kids. We had a great time. Staff was great. Enjoyed later tag and bowling. Will be going back soon

Although we did have a disappointing experience but the wonderful team of managers at Main Event has worked very hard to ensure that they would work on fixing any and all issues to avoid future unpleasantness. I have to admit, the management at Main Event has been very sensitive and «human» in understanding deeply how important our issue was to us. They were constantly in touch with us and helped us in any way they could. I will definitely book my future events with Main Event, and will spread the word that they have some of the best managers I’ve ever encountered! So many companies can learn what good management is, from the team at Main Event! Kudos to the entire team but an extra special shout-​out to Wes and Charles on the Management team. Thank you for all your efforts!

Took our two grandchildren to Main Event around 9:00 am Monday morning, was not crowded, very clean, great selection of games for their entertainment. We are lunch there and was amazed at the quality of their food. Excellent menu and tasty food reasonably priced. Kids fully entertained and we left around 2:00 pm, great experience, we will be back.

I went on a Friday morning it was $ 22 for an hour and $ 3.50 for shoe rentals per person. It was totally worth it. I’d you go in the evening it is $ 34/​hr for a lane.
The only improvement I can see is to have more games in the arcade area.

Eh don’t get me wrong i had fun here, but the service omg it sucks! so many rude employees especially the girl doing the laser tag. Shes the worst. I had great service at the bar area by the pool tables thou. Tonight was my third night ever being here & like i said i had fun, but they don’t even make announcements about closing. I started a game and all of a sudden my money was wasted because they shut the machines off. Granted yes i should have seen what time they closed but as i said third time here and you lose track of time. Im not saying how to do their job but they should at least have the decently to say hey in about 5 mins the games will be shut off. I will come back but i wont be excited about the customer service which majority of them have none of. Place is awesome, drinks are good and food are good.

The bar is the greatest, bartenders are legit and can keep a convo going! My recommendation is to ask for the house margarita very good pricing.

Very very low value. We arrived at 11am in a Saturday wanting a fun day with the kids, paid the «special» price of 16 per person to play all the bowling, laser tag and pool we wanted. In the 4 hours we were there we got one game of bowling and one broken game of laser tag. The wait for another game of bowling when we gave up was 4 hours. Laser tag was over an hour wait and the game crashes several times while playing and the equipment is ancient. The arcade is filled with 15 year old games that don’t work. Not a great experience.

I went to Main Event for the first time recently and my first impression of this place was in between a Chuck E. Cheese and D&B because that’s the range of people I saw at this place, high school teenagers to young adults that offers games, food, bar, laser tag, bowling, and billiards. Not a bad place to hangout for high school & college students because it provides a fun atmosphere. Regular price on the weekends for the attractions maybe a bit pricier but just ask for some specials, usually there’s one. The quality of billiards and bowling attractions are more for recreational use so don’t expect to have the latest and greatest equipment to practice for a tournament or something. Employees that I’ve encountered with were very helpful and attentive when it came to orders.

I have been here for several corporate functions. I have to say the biggest surprise at all of these has been how good the food actually is. So, if you’re thinking corporate fun, this may be a good idea for you. As I’m not a big arcade person, I won’t wax rhapsodic over the games, but there are quite a few different kinds. Most folks can find something they like. There is also pool, shuffleboard, and bowling. I think that the place can get pricey if you’re playing on your own dime, so be prepared.

Smells horrible, a 30% of games are not working. Past 11pm at night and there’s 4 year old children jumping on top of tables and running around the place. There should be a timeframe for no kids at night. Especially with parents that don’t care about their kids behavior.

Worst service ever. Waited 40 minutes for a server, asked multiple employees, and never got a server. Had to move to a different section to finally put in a food order and then it took forever to come out. 3 hour wait for bowling. 1 ½ hour wait for laser tag. Never coming back here again.

Late review, but worth the read!
Go to Main Event on a Monday!!! Their deals are crazy cheap! $ 10 for all you can bowl, laser-​tag, & billiards or $ 10 all you can play game card! Either way it’s a bang for your buck! I usually go around 6−7pm and the crowd doesn’t arrive until 8 – 9. If you’re able to, going at 4 guarantees the best when it comes to lane availability. It starts at four FYI.
The only complaint I would have is their lanes are really slicked up (oily?) so it’s a bit tough for someone to play if you aren’t used to that. Other than that everything is darn near perfect! The Laser-​Tag is fun, not as intense as you’d like, but still fun nonetheless. Billboards is chill, a bunch of tables to play on there, hardly ever have to wait to play.
The service is great imo! All the waiters are very nice and quick to serve you, constantly checking up on you while you bowl/​pool.
If you’re looking to hang with friends or take your kids out for a fun time, choose Main Event Monday Madness!

A very busy place every time I’ve gone in.
Full to the brim of all ages: young to old coming together in front of bowling alleys and arcade games.
Clean, comfortable shoes for bowling and lots of pool tables to gather your friends around.
Service is definitely where Main Event earns its three stars.
Hit or miss.
One time I came into smiles and refilled glasses; the next my party of eight had to ask for our glasses of water five times before we got our drinks.
I say come here for a good time, but not high hopes of service.
They focus on the big picture and not one-​on-​one.
