I contacted this company for a rodent in attic issue and they will not come out without charging you a service fee of $ 95 just to drive to your house. The guy didn’t even get into the attic or on the roof yet he was wanted to charge me over $ 3,500 to replace my front gutter on a townhouse.
The guy did not get into the attic or on top of the roof and was just standing in front of the house looking up and was speculating on the root cause of how the rodents are entering the attic. I will give him a small credit because he did point that the gap between the gutter and the roof is where they are going in from, but that was not the only point of entry.
I demanded that he would conduct a thorough assessment by going into the attic for inspection and on top of the roof to determine if there are entry points that needs to be addressed. I also requested photos to be taken of the roof and attic to show me all the areas that needs to be addressed. There was resistance from the guy and the sense that he was doing me a favor by coming out.
He took my $ 95 and ran away; after many calls to the main office, I was able to force them to come out again for physical inspection and to take pictures of the roof and attic. After coming out the second time, they went on top of the roof (still did not go into the attic) and took pictures in which he was trying to show me on a 1″ x 1″ LCD screen. I explained to him that I cannot see anything on a lousy camera LCD that small and that he needed to email me the pictures so I can see them on a large computer screen.
The guy promised to email me the pictures; however, as I anticipated, this never happened. It was a lousy experience from day one. There was lots of pressure into getting me to sign a contract immediately committing to spending over $ 3,500 for a small job.
I later found out myself that the rodents were going in from the gutter as well as the attic fan as I saw them going in and out from both places. I brought another company that did an amazing job. They replaced my attic fan per my request, repaired my gutter and secured it, informed me that they also pointed out that I have 2 shingles that are broken, so they replaced those, they re-​shingled the area around the fan after replacing it, and did an excellent job all for $ 700.
Don’t go with this company, they will do everything they can to rip you off, they won’t provide you with the service you expect and pay for, and they won’t give you the evidence you need before making such an investment. I highly recommend to avoid this company at all costs. Don’t waste your money or effort dealing with them.
